AFL 23 is here...for everyone except Xboxers. Sadly, release/availability issues have meant that Xbox copies (both digital or physical) are unlikely to be available in the short term - but we are awaiting confirmation of just how long.


WHEN CAN I PLAY? READ BELOW:

• PlayStation (Physical): Thursday 4 May
• PlayStation (Digital): 8:01am AEST Thursday 4 May
• Steam: 12:00am AEST Thursday 4 May
• Xbox (Digital or Physical): TO BE CONFIRMED, unlikely to be 4 May

STATE OF PLAY:

• The game is out for Steam and PlayStation. There have been issues with Xbox release and it is unclear when the game will be available.
• Big Ant are aware that there are playability issues & bugs at present.
• Content has been temporarily removed from the game to identify where the issues lie.
• This content will be re-introduced via patches in the coming days.

The good old commentary leaves early to beat the traffic followed by the game freezing is still active in Management mode. Tends to be in the 4th which means you lose a full games progress

Surely the automatic handball garbage is just a coding error and will be removed.

Every time i handball it's me pressing handball and directing it or i get tackled. Not sure what you mean but it hasn't happened on ps4.

Do you mean you doing the tackling or you being tackled?
For me it's been fine, as long as you tackle at the correct timing.

Considering I'm literally tackling players while still holding sprint I'm going to assume you're full of it.

You have to handball as soon as the tackle happens or mash handball and it might be released. Like in a real game, if a hard tackle is laid, there is no guarantee that you'll release, but just try using faster reflexes on the button mashies.
