The players bursting with Flash like speeds randomly and freezing players isn't just from slow mo replays.

I do agree the animations are poor with Evo 2, but I'd compromise and take that because it has very responsive controls rather than fighting the controls and having worse animations with 23/26. The only animations that look better in 23/26 are the umpires, lol.

Every animation in 26 looks significantly better than Evo 2s because 26 has mo-capped animations. You can argue about how those animations blend together but the individual animations are significantly worse in Evo 2

They must have added 2026 clash guernseys in this weeks patch - HAWKS 2026 clash guernsey is now in the game. Also saw that the 2026 rosters must be the default selection in the game now, no more Worpel in the team and jumper numbers fixed.

Although I think the player positioning is broken, had Sicily play in the ruck (center bounces), took advantage of it and got him involved in the midfield - look at the beast shrugging off multiple tackles

I love how multiple Collingwood players run past or hover doing zoomies around the opposition ball carrier being tackled offering no support.

Its from one extreme to another. The ball detection is a bit.... s..t putting it mildly. Quite often no oppo players react unless they are cm from the ball. I seem to remember other certain games where MOST oppo players swarmed the ball carrier like they were Agent Smith and the ball carrier was Neo in The Matrix.

I've never see anything like the craziness in the clips you guys share. Do you put silly sliders on or something, and pretend that's how the game looks? There's no way you can run around with no pressure like that with normal settings on.

I touched one setting that(mostly) avoided the teleport tackle issue in 23, again in 26. I've mucked around with the kicking distance - thought I reverted it, but I managed to bomb home a goal from behind the ruck circle in the centre square as Gunston last night (in fairness it was marked on the goal line but counted as a goal).

Continuing on with previous management mode saves after patches doesnt help - that wrecks game play to a degree.

It felt like with AFL 23 they stopped caring about updating smaller stuff for the 2024 season like guernseys after a few rounds so I'm liking that they're continuing to update those things.

Still thoroughly enjoying this game.

Good to see GoldbergsGold and Freo16 still having the lovers tiff

Finally jumped on AFL 26 after almost a full inactive year and its a lot better than it or 23 was previously. Hopefully a few smaller bugs are getting ironed out (teleporting, AI interchange logic etc) but overall, much better.

Meanwhile Harley Reid led the competition for possessions, tackles and came third (!!!) for goals. Would have shattered records with that sort of season. He came 5th.

There was at least 3 key towards in the top 10

One nice touch was Nic Nat and Buddy walking out with the cup, and Nic Nat presenting it to my winning Eagles. Haven't seen that sort of attention to detail in a footy game before.
