Funny that in the case of the Matt Rendall affair they were like Leon Davis in the 2002 GF. Nowhere near it. Instead they were just toeing the company line.
I expect Robbo to go flying off the handle, and as usual Gerard to chime in with the voice of reason.
Just like last night (Or Monday?) when Robbo got all worked up about some insignificant comments Cale Morton made RE: Melbourne and West Coast, and Gerard's reply was one of: "Yeah... nah

That was uncomfortable viewing. Eddie was clearly upset, Harry made some very good points, Gerard and Robbo were struggling to get their points across.

I'm not likely to be able to get to watch it - was Gerard as tough as he usually is when the target of his statements is actually in the same room?
Gerard was soft on Eddie IMO however both he and Robbo couldn’t get a word in for 25 of the 30 minutes.

Gerard was soft on Eddie like when they replayed MMM radio with Darcy and Eddie,three times Darcy knew where Eddie was going I think this interview lost AFL360 a lot of credibility,so now if anyone at a footy field screams out a racist slur and is pulled over just say "It was a slip of a tongue" Foxtel must be scared of Eddie,the handshake said it all at the end

Yep, one of the worst 360 episodes of all time (besides the entire string of episodes Huddo were hosting).
Eddie had his time to speak (all be it pretty poorly), in the press conference. 360 should have used that 30 minutes (or less) to actually discuss and analyse the situation.
It was soooooo awkward to watch. Eddie continually saying "it was just a slip of the tongue", despite saying he didn't want to make any excuses.
Harry O clearly disgusted with the comments, then backtracking and actually defending Ed because he was on the panel was awful too.
Once again I'm amazed that you guys were expecting anything else.
The AFL media is one long gravy train and no-one - repeat no-one - wants to derail it by being hard-hitting, controversial or holding people to account. Or by being a proper journalist or media commentator.

I have enjoyed watching the death stare that Harry O was giving Eddie across the desk at the start of the interview.

I doubt Harry O's credibility to speak about this issue. You need to be pristine white and harry's on-field sledging doesn't fit the criteria.

I couldn't disagree more. Maybe you would prefer Footy Classified instead - where people yell and score points off each other in tacky displays of fauxmotion. Cause what I saw tonight from Gerard was an intelligent and probing interview. He asked all the right questions. None of them were comfortable or "soft". And he then let Eddie answer them to the fullest extent possible. And at no time did Gerard seem in the slightest bit impressed with Eddie's answers. He just showed journalistic restraint. Fair play, I say.
Robbo was the odd one. He was behaving like Eddie's defence lawyer. 2/3 of each of his questions were like pre-defences on Eddie's behalf. I think Robbo finds it very difficult to poke people who are looking him in the eye - on the 360 desk at least.

Robbo: It's outrageous! I'm really annoyed by this. It really gives me the shits. Can I say that? Well it does....
Gerard: if you freeze-frame all of these bumps, they're all exactly the same... the mind boggles... Anyway, the next item on our agenda is today's release of Ziggy Switkowski's report on the Essendon controversy. It paints a none-too-flattering portrait of their internal processes. Quite damning, I would suggest.
Robbo: Yeah... Nah.... Look, I'll admit I've been an Essendon fan for a long time and James Hird is close friend of mine. People need to take a deep breath. We all do. Everyone knows that James Hird is man of outstanding character and principles and he would never do anything untoward. I believe him when he says he knew nothing about this. Do you?
Gerard: ummmm...
Robbo: I think we all need to wait until ASADA's report comes out and then I'm quite confident this will be resolved and Hird and Essendon will be cleared. Jobe Watson is a great player. Best captain in the AFL. Have I told you that I've watched him grow up since he was little boy? It's been a privilege. We're all so proud of him.
Gerard: Okay... we move now to a less-positive story, but one that must be examined. Melbourne's woes. In particular, Mark Neeld's exit strategy.
Robbo: Do you think he's gone, huh?

Robbo: Did I tell you he's a friend of mine? Great guy, Neeldy. A real straight shooter. I've got a lot of time for him...

To be fair to Robbo, he was the only journo that asked a remotely probing question at the release of the Switkowski report press conference. A question that wasn't answered at the time and which remains unanswered to this day (as far as I'm aware). What happened to Dr Reid's letter?
