If you don't rush out immediately, cabs are pretty easy to get anywhere - King William, just opposite the Eastern Stand, about 20 minutes after the game is over, they're easy to get there as well.

Regarding the "covering of the Port players' race sponsors, could it be that they are covering Renault signage, as a direct competitor of Toyota? Can anyone who can remember tell me what sponsorship we are talking about?

Port in their haste to move to AO and the AFC with a suspended CEO at the time of this agreement being negotiated, have found themselves locked into an unfavourable stadium deal. But they were both warned by Ian Collins about the lopsided deal.

It seems that individual AFL clubs are irrelevant when it comes to dealings between the AFL and State bodies.
So our small profit is basically coming from increased membership, fees. Great.

Looks like most of the oval they are using for soccer has gone in the presale.Bay 332 for me.
Should be a good crowd then, Adelaide Utd & the SMA havs said on their FB pages that they will be opening up more areas of the stadium when needed, so I bet they'll open up some of the top deck of the Eastern stand early next week, if most of the level 1 & 3 tickets are sold.

I reckon if its good weather they could easily get 25-30000 for this game.
They will definitely crack 40,000 for the game against Melbourne Victory

I reckon you're onto something here, we wanted a "clean" stadium so we could then put AFC signage all over the place.

Do we seriously cover up the Port race for our games??

******* pathetic if we do.

Nah I disagree
- I have no problem leaving the words "Geof Motley Race" (and "Bob Hammond Race" on ours) uncovered, however, I do think that the “We Are Port Adelaide” wall which recognizes 50 Port club sponsors should not be seen during Crows games (and vice versa Crows signage for Port home games).

This whole thing has been misrepresented in the media: the AFC did not say cover the whole race, only "part" of it:
“The only area we’re talking about is the commercialised space, just the same way that we’ve always covered our race when Port Adelaide played at AAMI Stadium.”
It is understood the Crows will also have commercial logos on its race - and these will be covered during Power home games.
Even Keith Thomas said that “That means no club has to see the commercial logos of another club during its home games”

Well I have come to the conclusion it is nigh on impossible to sit with anyone in the members unless you get there at least an hour before the game. There is definitely more members than seats. Was left standing today, couldn't see a thing, it was about 5 deep. Guess it's a ploy to fork out more for a reserved seat.

Liked the look of the yellow Eddie Pocket shirts, well done AFC.

SHame not everyone put them on - seriously why wouldn't you? I am over some of our supporters - we need a supporter clean out as well.
Agreed - though I would've liked to have that whole pocket been given yellow t-shirts.

Was in the Eddie betts pocket tonight, was a fantastic idea with the shirts and everyone got around it.

The pre game music, eminems lose yourself being played before the team ran out, the fireworks, the Eddie betts pocket with the shirts, everything at adelaide oval tonight minus the loss was perfect. Seriously in love with this stadium

Agreed. Either put on the shirt or you have two choices:
1) Give up your seat and swap with someone.
2) Have your membership burned and re-sold.

Did you hear/know why some didn't put on the shirts??

Watching on TV it looks like about one in four didn't put them on, was there any comments why they didn't put them on? Did they want to take them home unused, were they too small, would it interfere with their knitting needles?
