Did you hear/know why some didn't put on the shirts??

Watching on TV it looks like about one in four didn't put them on, was there any comments why they didn't put them on? Did they want to take them home unused, were they too small, would it interfere with their knitting needles?
There were a couple of people walking around in the members area with the yellow shirts on, and when exiting at the southern end after the match I spotted a few more who had been sitting near the CSG for at least the final quarter, so perhaps some of the shirts were claimed by supporters for whom they were not intended or they made the recipients an offer they couldn't refuse.

As
Was in the Eddie betts pocket tonight, was a fantastic idea with the shirts and everyone got around it.

The pre game music, eminems lose yourself being played before the team ran out, the fireworks, the Eddie betts pocket with the shirts, everything at adelaide oval tonight minus the loss was perfect. Seriously in love with this stadium
as someone in that bay do you intend to wear the shirt again (and/or hear anything to indicate if others around you do)? Would be great if the regulars in that bay continue to wear it and it just becomes an ongoing thing

The effect looked great, I know it'd be unlikely to work long term but I'd love it if they could alternate blue red yellow bays all around as part of the members package. Obviously done before with the hats (but they were terrible so never going to work although still see the odd one!).

I saw one lady with a shirt on, she then took it off in the second quarter to put her jacket on. The shirt never reappeared. I guess it didn't match her outfit

I was actually only in the bay as a once off but I passed on the shirt to the ticket holder. They will definitely be bringing the shirts back to the next game, as to whether everybody else does I don't know.

Was mentioned on the coverage last night that Adelaide Oval now has an equal number of 50,000+ AFL attendances compared with Footy Park over its entire history!

Great to see both supporter bases embrace AO like they have
Both?
Port aren't really embracing it (3 sub 40k in their best season ever)
It's the Crows and hawks fans bringing the fans and embracing the oval.

Took my Mum, who hadn't been to a game in 10 years, and never wanted to anymore at AAMI.

She absolutely loved it last night - to the point she's wanting to go to more games, and has asked me to get her a SACA membership so she can go to the cricket.

The Oval has another admirer!

So now the chickens have come home to roost with the AO stadium deal the PAPs are crying fowl. Apparently Triggy and AFC signed off on the deal as well because they knew it was going to hurt them and we want them out of the comp.
Serves the flogs right for rushing into the deal without thinking.

Yes we can.

Our crowd is sooo loud it made Ray's ears bleed and he thought the ringing in his ears was the siren :D
From all the games I've been to this year.
I think last night was the quietest game I've been to

(Been to all BUT the Melbourne debacle)

Well I have come to the conclusion it is nigh on impossible to sit with anyone in the members unless you get there at least an hour before the game. There is definitely more members than seats. Was left standing today, couldn't see a thing, it was about 5 deep. Guess it's a ploy to fork out more for a reserved seat.
During big games at the MCG, MCC members are there in line, hours before the match to get a decent seat.

Entrance was damn near perfect last night. Intro to Lose Yourself was awesome (They must've been checking out our ideas on here ;) )
Still a timing issue with playing the club song that i'm really failing to understand.

Maybe there is an unfortunate silence on the recording before the music kicks in.

That timing issue is the pits. Players milling around, waiting to run through the banner, supporters waiting to sing along ... waiting ... waiting ... waiting. It's ridiculous!

ETA: I LOVED the fireworks! Should have them at every night game.

I think I've heard music mixed in so it flows right in to the next song before..
Amazingly difficult thing it seems to be for them at AO..

I blame Puff Triggy and MC Chappy..

I think a twin cassette player could get that intro more synced up.

They should play an effect when the other song cuts off, like the sound of a DJ stopping a record, or someone shutting the power down. Then I don't know a couple second intro, it might be an explosion, or like a slow drum or heart beat or something (just thinking out loud haha) that quickly speeds up to match the tempo of the song then straight into "we're the pride of South Australia".

Not sure there are any cassette players in use up there in 2014.. :p

When Port did the t-shirts there were a bunch of different sizes across all the seats. We got there early and I had a small on my seat which was never going to fit. So I swapped it with a 2xl I found nearby. If I got there late I would have given the shirt to my nephew but wouldn't have been able to wear it myself that night.
