125 phone calls over a 2 year period (735 days roughly) with an events coordinator is not that much. there's 365/366 days in a year.
If you're in charge of a football list and dealing directly with AFL, AFLW, VFL, VFLW. That's how many players total?
Not to mention coaches, coaching staff, club staff etc.

63 calls per year (roughly) roughly 5 phone calls a month, roughly 1 call per week.
With a person dealing directly high up in management dealing with social and event management in which player welfare is a priority?
That's pretty standard in business.

And you made the assumption that every single call was to book an event or social outing and not just chit chat which, surprise surprise people do.

Geelong legend Joel Selwood was named in a contract as the lender of $100,000 to a club sponsor who is now under police investigation and accused in court documents of fraudulently obtaining an estimated $14.5 million from a charity.

Draft loan documents obtained by The Age reveal the 355-game champion was due to receive $10,000 in interest from the proposed loan in 2013 to Sy Giang Nguyen.

Coincides with his lovely 5 year contract he signed. Perhaps he took less money, in exchange for access to these types of loans?

In 2013, Nguyen made plans for a financial deal with Selwood, who had been appointed captain of Geelong the previous year and had signed a five-year contract extension worth several million dollars.
Loan documents reveal Nguyen proposed to borrow $100,000 from Selwood, who would be repaid the principal and interest of $10,000 after eight months.

No collateral was required under the loan agreement, which was made on November 27, 2013.
“The parties have agreed that no security is required for this loan,” the deed drafted by Nguyen says.

There's a pattern here. Why on earth would anyone take on a loan with those kind of interest rates, when you can get significantly better from the bank? I doubt the AFL can audit players companies.

Another loan agreement also made on November 27, 2013, reveals Selwood’s company, JAMS 14 Pty Ltd, planned to lend $100,000 to a financial planner for an eight-month term with an interest rate of 15 per cent per annum.

The lawsuit also claims that Mr Sourasis owes Pendlebury $300,000 for a personal loan, which the premiership player said would be paid back in just a day.

Pendlebury claims he agreed to extend the loan by up to 12 months at a 50 per cent interest rate per year, but that it was never repaid.
