Guys, just another heads up on the pre-season gala day that the Cooma Cats are having again this year. The confirmed date is Saturday 27th March in Cooma. So far we have four mens teams and three ladies teams. Looks like being a great day with games being played on adjacent ovals. Post a reply if interested or call 0428767921. Cheers.

Hey can anyone tell me what happened to RMC? Did they join up with ADFA Rams? Or just go defunct? Looking to go to Duntroon and been told I will play for RMC in the Canberra comp against the likes of ADFA and ANU and the likes, but can't find anything on them playing after 2001.

RMC folded a couple of years ago after struggling for numbers for years. There was also a controversy when some non-RMC Cadets who filled in for their league team beat the snot out of the referees and brought shame to RMC.

The Head of RMC then decided to withdraw from most sporting competitions.

Thanks Ferret, so I'm assuming that if I'm accepted to RMC i'll be playing for ADFA Rams? Because they're still quoting on their website that Australian Rules is one of the sports played there. That or I guess I'll have to play Rugby!? Awesome!:mad:

Heywood was looking good with Aker in todays CT - where do we find the inteview on-line?

Aww shucks GF, thanks, but it's not hard to look handsome next to Aker! ;)
Aker was awesome actually, signed heaps of autographs and got in lotsa photos and was a bloody good sport! (for those who don't know what I'm talking about, a few of the Doggies boys came down to Jets training last week). And yes, I happened to grab him aside for a little interview, which was sensational fun - it'll be online soon, I'll give you the heads up! In the meantime, and you know I don't like to boast, but this has gotta be my proudest moment...

Interesting to note that so far there have only been transfers out of gungahlin and not in,With the inclusion of the div 2 side i thought the clearences in would be dominated by the jets.

Any news on the recruitments ??

Hi all,

Hopefully season 2010 will be as interesting as 2009!

Not willing to make any premiership predictions just yet, but i do think Belco will be back in finals action this year after missing out last year for the first time in many years (2003 - not including the 2007 season in ACTAFL, from memory).

ANU and Harman should feature strongly again and both play finals. Ferret's comments about the Woden preseason attnedances means I will commit to Woden not making finals in 2010. as for the fourth place, i assume it will be a good battle between ADFA, Bidgee, Eastlake. Woden will be up there but not 4th.

BMFC has had some good attendances at training. The usual mix of old and new faces. Stuart Dunn is looking fitter than ever, back on the track after suffering a severe flare up of "mattress back" from spending too much time with his missus in the bedroom. Collo and Puddles are doing 3s and 4s coaching jobs respectively.

We have a practice match between Brockelsby/Burrumbuttock in a few weeks, and I think we are heading down for the Cooma comp too.

any new recruits anywhere in ditricts this year ? I heard cooma have a few newbies

I've heard ANU, the Bidge, and Harman have had a few handy players turn up. Couldn't tell you names at any of them, but just heard from friends at each team and they say they have some quality players that haven't played before.

I don't have much input these days so it'd be nice to hear more from people at the clubs.
