Interesting numbers, but not a lot of point comparing them with 30, 20 or even 10 years ago. Membership used to mean season ticket. Now it means anyone that walks past your club shop. Season ticket holders for a lot of clubs now make up a minority of members.

I’m curious, for the AFL clubs atleast, what the revenue from memberships since 1984 looks like.

Its not really quantifiable. Too many clubs have gate/merch and other things combined with their membership revenues for it to be a meaninful comparison.
