1. Polak can't play.

2. The reason this has come up is because Fermantle want Gourdis before our first rookie pick. We are then forced to get him via PSD.

I think the concern is that the kid in question will be picked up by another club before Richmond get a crack....

So Richmond now have to decide whether they risk losing a Gourdis or someone of that ilk if they choose Cousins. For mine this is a no brainer...

If part of this exercise was seeing the public reaction to a possible Cousins pick up then the overwhelming answer is that they should now take him with pick 6....

there was a reason why the made it near impossible to get back - they don't want him back.

I think Freo have said they will draft Gourdis ahead of us in the Rookie Draft. I still think we should grab Cousins no matter what assurances we have given a project player who may never even play a senior game. Wallace in the last year of his contract should be thinking the same way.

I think Polly has had enough of shit year - the last thing he needed was to be refused this - so he feels like the guy that cost richmond ben cousins.
