from my reckoning the aim of the game was to make a balanced team. For instance, you don't have 5 KPPs in defence even if they are all guns, you don't have all clearance players, or all outside players in a midfield either.
In terms of all round player, sewell wins for me because he plays both defensive and attacking roles well, as well as having superior disposal. If I were picking my team to play a game, i would pick sewell everyday of the week. A grade taggers are worth their weight in gold.
We've only picked 5 or 6 players each so far.
You don't need a tagger to win a game lol, if you have a class midfield, that can kick goals as well as rack up 30+ disposals constantly, you should win most games.
Have a look at us when we won our flag, we didn't have a real top quality recognised tagger. Our main midfield attribute was 3 top quality gun midfielders.
Swan leads in:
Kicks, marks, goals, inside 50's and goal assists/contributed. As you would expect from a more outside player.
Sewell leads in:
Handballs and tackles. As you would expect from a more inside player. Sewell may have a much higher disposal effictiveness but considering his low kick:handballl ratio it is to be expected.
Sewell has a few good more seasons yet to catch up to Swan.
