I liked last years better.

I'm doing much better this year then last year, it's just that too many of the teams are similar, and the challenge isnt as great to me.

Better then nothing though.

As this is my first season in a dream team competition, can anyone tell me the main differences between last season and this season???

Salery cap was smaller last year.

Players were broken up into Premium and Standard players, so basically you had to really put some effort into picking your second tier players.

You only got 3 (I think) draft periods a year in which you could do 4 changes in each period.

The league games actually started from round 1 instead of round 4.

This is my first year as well.

Last year's system sounds better and more challenging.

I like it how the league has finals this year. Other than that i prefer last years format.
Yeah, that's very true. I liked the way in which players were broken up into premium and standard sections last year, but I disliked the trade periods. I like the system they use this year with the trades, but you should be allowed to have a total of 22 trades in the season.

I moved from ranked 4145th to 4144th last week. What a huge move that was.

Does anyone know if Sinclair will play this week? I'm thinking of putting Nigel Lappin back into my team, possibly for Sinclair. Also, out of Bizzell and Colbert, which one should I trade for Wirrpunda? Both players are currently priced at $215,600 and I'm thinking that Bizzell will be better value for the rest of the season, bit I'm open to any suggestions of course.

Yeh i actually think this year we got too much money to buy players with at the start of the yr.
we got the exact same amount of money - but we had to select 30 players, down from 36.

I think 2006 should see a morphing of the best of both setups - this year's leagues with last year's selection process.

Hmmmm tough call.

I'd probably take Green or Hall followed by Grant then Tuck.

My teams going ok I guess. Comeing 429th with 5 trades left (4 after Riewoldt trade).

Its a pretty strong side, im just hoping that a couple of forwards fall in price in coming weeks, so I can make a trade for Riewoldt, and players such as Bell can come back from injuries soon.

I was hoping to do the same with Riewoldt, try and wait and get Bruce or even Cornes but I cant afford to with Sinclair likely to miss again.

Also, the Bell injury is much more severe than the club let on. 4-5 weeks apparantly is the likely time on the sidelines. Not 2 like the club said.

I've got a mate with Embly in his team.

He has 3 trades left but wants to save them for finals time. (looks like finishing 2, 3 or 4 in the league)

What are the chances of Embly being back for round 21 or 22..and even then, how effective will he be?

Deledio and Ackland on the bench, so no real problems there, but he's obviously wasting a spot and plenty of $$ if he's not going to play again?

Is there a doctor in the house?!

He's listed at 6, which seems fair for a broken bone (that's what it is right?). With 8 games left you would have thought his impact in the last two rounds, if he plays, would be limited. Hard to run on a broken foot, he'd be playing off the bench in rounds 21, 22 and his value would suffer. That's my (non-medical) appraisal.

Deciding who to trade Riewoldt for. Am I the only person that thinks Brent Harvey is a better prospect than Brad Green? All those dome games have be leaning that way....
