Already ********ed with Lappin and Riewoldt injuries but most good team would be as well.
been waiting for the late released side, didn't reach my expectations though, but still a good line-up.

I dropped Lappin last week, good for me!!!

Aker as captain in one game, Ling in the other. Aker got 97, so 194 for me in the TMN league I got running. Riewoldt got 61, which is okay still, but disappointing for people who have used him as captain.

After seeing Goddard play tonight I wish I had chosen Rob Murphy or Brent Reilly.. I never liked Wirrpunda in my side but if he can ply 3 good weeks I'll trade him. Were do you think I could've improved LF50?

looks like riewoldts gonna be out for a while, might stuff up a few teams
It's called "trading". Those who take this competition seriously will trade him after lockout mode is complete, and replace him with an active champion scoring forward.

oh man i am disapointed for the riewoldt injury on soo many levels.

a) he was captain of my dream team
b) i had just yesterday put $20 on him for the brownlow (throw that down the sink)
c) i think he is a top young player

I left Riewoldt out of my team as I figured his price wont go up, only come down, so make some cash on the best 'improvers' then trade them in and pick Riewoldt at a reduced price later on.

Thank ******** I did.

My team is comprised soley at this point of 'best improvers', no stars whatsoever

I wont be in the running for the 10,000, but by the end of the season I reckon it's a fair call I'll pick up a weekly prize or two.

Last night's game reminded me of the abusrdity of this competition.

I had 5 players from my Dream Team playing:

Bradshaw - only recognised forward, penny out, should rake in the points. Wrong.
Goddard - showed promising pre-season form, should be handy across half-back for 70-80 points. Wrong.
Riewoldt - champion, book him in for 110+ points. Wrong.
Power - leading Brisbane midfielder with lappin hurt, black and hadley out. should be a lazy 100 points. Wrong.
Ackland - mediocre ruckman, ill leave him out of the side, couldn't possibly play well this week. Wrong.

It just proves no matter how much thought and effort you put into picking a team, it really just comes down to luck! I would've got 200/1 odds on ackland being the highest scoring out of those guys last night, but there you have it!

not really, to win the weekly comp you need a bit of luck. but the season competition take alot more skill
I had ackland as a emergency, unfortunately i also have mclean and i doubt there will be more than two late withdraws

still early on however reiwoldt has hurt me as he was captain and you want your captain to score 100+ so ennoyed about that. Last night everyone would have been in the same boat as most players got very tired so there were no really high scores nothing to worry about... thank god i don't have lappin tho as 2 trades after round one would have really hurt

You will find that every player has their good and bad games. I have learned that you have to judge them on a few games and not just one. I have Bradshaw in my team but I am not panicking yet.

I put in a second team (for my wife ;) ) and I put in Jarred Brennan instead of Bradshaw. I also had Cain Ackland in her team because Sam Mitchell is suspended for a week and made Tredrea her captain (just to be different). I wonder how much money I will see if she wins
