I have two trades left.

I was going to upgrade Beau Waters in the normal course of events, so his finger injury has just confirmed the move and brought it forward.

The first question is: Bowden or Lockyer.

Then the other aspect is, how do I free up the cash?

Do I:

A: Drop Marty Clarke for Connors from Richmond which gets me an active emerg. in my mids.

or B. downgrade Lucas to Rocca (who hopefully won't be needed to come on to the field.)

note: my forward line is currently: Bj, Pav, Chad, Volt, Rok, Buddy, Richo, & Lucas

I would get Lockyer. Has been in great form all year, and despite Collingwood playing Adelaide and Sydney in the last 3 weeks should still score well.
To free up the cash, I'd see both options as viable - especially since B.J is in doubt this week so a bench player may be needed. I'm not sure on Clarke, but assuming he'll only miss this one game it wouldn't be worth the trade imo. Tough decision. I'd probably trade out Lucas.

Clarke out has convinced me to do the Bruce -> Corey trade. I will do Sandi -> Lade too, leaving Gilbee out with no cover. I'm playing 4th, who has scored the highest in the league the last 2 weeks, so I'll probably lose cos of Gilbee!

I say get Lockyer. He is a gun DTer, won't let you down. Gilbee is due back next week but may take longer, and he wasn't scoring that great anyway.

Perhaps the Lade & Milburn option?
My rationale being that Brogan is out giving Lade a bit more of a touch.
And Milburn bc i wish i had him in my team!

or (see above post) do I stick with the original plan to downgrade Bryce Gibbs and get Cox in for Hudson. This plan carries a little more risk with Marty Clarke being rested this week so I'm thinking it will be better to play either Ryder or Graham this week and hope for the best.
