Honestly, i would have still waited one more week, wouldn't have hurt. I think Brown's B/E is roughly 100 and Hill should get around 60 so would have been much of a loss then you would have been sure about Hinkley. Also Bird could still make i little more cash.

You just have to hope Hinkley plays a good game, if he does, he will make a fair bit of cash IMO.
Well considering my left over money in the bank is $1,500, shows that it was a tight trade. If i waited that one more week i would need to hope for a bad game from Brown, a good game from Hill and a good game from Bird in order to do the trade next week.

I seized the opportunity and i believe my trades are good, plus picking up Brown the week he plays the Dees is just to tempting to give up :p:D.

Who would the punters start on the field?

For the mids: Gibbs v Adelaide or Palmer v Geelong,

And the forwards: Rioli v Richmond or Hill v West Coast

I'm leaning toward Palmer and Rioli. Thoughts?

Ahhh.

A first for the year. A decision to make on who to start in the backs.:)

Hartlett VS Wona

Hartlett had 46 in half a game before the snipe attack but not sure against the Crows defence.

And back to the nice problem in the forwards.

2 of Hill, Gamble and Rioli.

Both of these assume Bowden and BJ will play so they probably doesn't matter.

Yep i can agree there aswell. Another reason why the oldies might get the call up in future weeks is for a bit of experience if they are getting smashed. What's the standard of WAFL like too? For some reason i thought it wasn't that flash compared to SANFL, VFL etc.
The dockers are the oldest team on paper IIRC, don't think they need anymore experience.

Anyway i think the WAFL is below the SANFL and VFL standard. Still a fair effort for an 18 year old first year on the list the get the stats he has.

Is the general concensus that Rioli is going to play 22 games this year? I'm wondering how high his price will get. He may not be a great DT'er as his absolute best will produce a score of 90 odd but is making an excellent cash cow and 6th or 7th forward at the moment. How longs everyone planning to hold onto him for?

I think it might be raining on saturday afternoon so i would think Wona would be a better option.

The other, would choose Rioli, then toss-up between Gamble and Hill, probably Gamble if i had to choose.

Not getting responses in other threads and don't want to start a new one:

With the team below, 16 trades left, $52k in the bank, 2-0 and sitting on top of the league ladder (though struggling to break 1900) - trade this week or wait to Dyson/Morton/Ellis/Hill peak in the next week or so? Looking at doing:

Dyson out for a rookie and upgrade 1) Hill to Pavlich OR 2) Ellis to Chad OR 3) Morton to Kane Cornes (leaves no cash though)

Backs: Bowden, P Burgoyne, Shaw, Waters, Symes, Kennelly, Ellis, Pffifer, Grimes
Mids: Cross, Mitchell, McLean, Stevens, Dyson, Palmer Morton, Ebert
Rucks: Cox, Simmonds, West, Meesen
Forwards: Reiwoldt, Jono Brown, B Johnson, Deledio, Porpz, Rioli, Hill, Tippett, J Morton

what do people think about trading proud to ibbotson???
I'm thinking about that one..

I also have Zac Dawson , and am throwing up maybe trading him to Ibbotson this week or Hartlett next week.

Although I only have 14 trades left and I don't really see the need to trade this week as I've been scoring well..

???

Exactly, and that was one thing i considered when picking him.

Also his first game of AFL football was quite impressive. 11 posi's , 4 tackles and a goal just shows what he is capable of, and with the current situation at Freo (poor performers), i think Hinkley will play quite a lot of games this season.
Plus I think Hinkley scored the majority of his score in the first half.

Already got Gamble, don't like it that hartlett isnt even an emergency this week, I'm looking at the likes of Mayne, Hansen (trembling from last years memorys), J.Morton from hawthorn (put off by dew due back next week and the strength of the side) or Valenti.....

Hmmmm what do you think? thanks for your help!

EDIT - Realise the stupidity, hartlett named at CHF!!
According to m0nty and mollyfud on their podcast this week there's rumblings that Dew won't be back till round 9..

who to start out of dyson and palmer (bear in mind the latter is against the cats)?
Palmer IMO. Dyson's record for the last four ANZAC day games is shocking. Not one score over 50.
