Ebert looks like he will be my highest scoring player this round and he's sitting on the bench not even as an emergency.

I will be looking to upgrade Palmer to either Kornes or Bartel in a few weeks, who do you recommend?

At first i'd say Bartel but he seems a bit bothered by an injury, not his usual self at the momet. Also i think there is a chance he might be rested later in the year, if he does have an injury, before the finals. If i'd have to choose, which i might in a few weeks, i'd probably go Kornes because he would be a lot cheaper also and those question marks over Bartel is worrying me at the moment.

IMO Palmer could be a keeper. I mean Kornes and Bartel are barely getting higher then him. Ive considered doing the same thing but i properly will hold onto him

What a shocker this week - gamble, birdman, and even Murphy - plus Captain Coxy. My ranking is going to take a hammering. I'll be lucky to crack 1900 this week. Plus by bench is eating crap - tippett, cotchin, taylor and browne all sub-50 points.....

will riewoldt play??? all of my eliminator hopes are dependant on him lining up tomorrow as my emergency is tippet!! does anyone know how he trained today or yesterday?? very on edge at the moment because my eliminator opponent has pulled a good score out of a rubbish team. just a few examples: thomas (95) fisher (93) waite (100).

Thats true but my midfield isnt the strongest at the moment.
It is Corey, Swan, Priddis, Stevens, Goodes and Palmer.
I would think Goodes or Palmer need an upgrade to Kornes/Bartel.
Goodes can average 80-95 whereas Palmer will probably sit on about 80-85 max.

On the other hand I have Waters, Kennelly and Bradshaw in my backline.
With the 60k-70k I was going to use on Palmer I could use to upgrade one of them to a gun or even 2 of them to decent backmen. I think Bradshaw is a keeper and Waters can average 80 as he showed last year(but how bad is his injury?). Im not sure a Kennelly -> Fisher/Johncock/Mackie would be much of an upgrade compare to Palmer -> Kornes..

I could probably get my team looking like this within the next month or 2 with 4 trades and about 50k in the bank.

Cornes, Shaw, Goddard, Milburn, Kennelly, Waters, Bradshaw
Corey, Swan, Goodes, Priddis, Stevens, Kornes
Cox, Simmonds
Pavlich, Riewoldt, JB, BJ, SJ, Chapman, Burton

What are peoples thoughts?

Brent Stanton????? What the f%ck do you do with him now? About as useful as tits on a bull.
Horrible pick up. The 200k I net from Ebert in 2 weeks could very much determine his fate - though it'll mean I'll be down to 4 trades with half the season to go.

Can't believe Myers and Tippett managed only 36 between them - when Edwards, my other forward rookie, got twice that much on his own. :(

Are you going to get a nobody for Ebert?

With that few trades, you are going to need decent emergencies in case your starting mids get injured for 2-3 weeks.

I'm thinking of keeping him because I don't think Browne will hold his spot for long. Missed the boat on Wellingham, if I knew Chappy was out, could've got him this week instead.

Kornes was down today due to the Sydney effect. Even with today's score his average is over 97. Bare in mind too that Kornes has already played the swans twice. If you take out those 2 scores he's averaging over 104. Palmer, as good a rookie as he is, will never match those numbers in his first year. Wait for the 67 to rotate through Kane's avg. and in two weeks time Palmer -> Kornes will be doable at a cost of about 80k and would be well worth it.
