So which teams should be out in round 1 before lockout? how many people will tend to choose draft picks picked in those named over ones which may/may not play on sunday for example?

That is a very, very good question. You could potentially put your arse in a blender from the get go if you stuff your team up by guessing wrongly who will line up in Sunday's matches. I'll be taking that into account for sure and yes it may very well affect my selections... which sucks but I guess everyone will be in the same boat (except those who don't realise it in time hehehe :D)

I think not. It's the fantasy footy bible. Everything you want to know about every player in the competition. Plus there's a whole section on fantasy footy itself. It's a top buy IMO.
Yeah its a half decent read but really it adds nothing.
All the information in there can be found on line anyway.

Is anyone thinking of going near the lesser ruckman ie Hudson/Sandilands/Charman? Seeing as every1 is always on the DT thread can u give me an SC answer also.
I've read a few things from people saying they basically don't rate Sandilands as a ruckman but I had him all last year and really couldn't complain too much (except when he got injured).

What's wrong with a Cox/Sandilands ruck duo (besides the price)? I guess he is pretty one dimensional but most good ruckman are...

Who wants to click back and forth with 500 windows open though?

I'd rather have it all there in front of me.

My copy from last year was so dog eared by the time I'd finished with it... looked like a copy of Forever by Judy Blume from a primary school library.

So you paid 40 bucks to finish where in the overall rankings?

It's also fun to read. To see how badly they get it wrong/where they get it surprisingly right.

It's difficult to know how much it helps but with the sportsbet voucher this year (luckily the same bookie as the one I use) it makes it worth it in my opinion.

Nah pretty positive actually.
I just know when something is a waste of time and money.

Doing a WHOLE team now = waste of time.
Paying 40 bucks for that = waste of money.
I wouldnt say that, my brother won a football last year and his starting team was heavily based on the prospectus TOG section. That would be the only thing that I would get the 08 one for...TOG.

I think your looking at it all wrong mate, if you enjoy the fantasy concept i think drafting teams and reading stats is nor wasting time or money as its enjoyable....i think thats me main thing!

I havent found any Time On Ground stats anywhere online...PM if you have a good site.
There has been one posted before.
Not sure what it was as I didn't bookmark it.
If you want to buy it good luck to you.
My personal opinion is its a waste of 40 bucks I'd rather spend on a slab or something.

The real question is, where would I have come without it? I did a shitload better (and won my league) this year than I did the year before.

And whoever said it was an interesting read was right.

And at the end of the day maybe I've got 40 bucks to waste :)

Okay so we've got the doggies, crows, hawkers and the dees playing Sunday and the kangas and the mighty dons playing Monday. So that's 6 teams whose lists we aren't going to know before lock out round one.

Does anyone else find this disturbing?

no, everyone is in the same boat, the person that does the better research will get the right bench players.

Not really.
Everyone has the same disadvantage.
We will have a pretty good indication of who will be playing and squads should not just be made for round 1.
