Police officer told me very different in NT. Basically if there’s public access, ie your front driveway, then no good. But if you’re secured in your backyard then they have no power.

But police aren’t always the most law understanding persons. Another reminder to research myself.
Theres a difference if you've been on the public roads and THEN parked in the back of your property.

They cant test you if you're driving around your farm drunk and haven't ever touched the public road.

Thats the way I understand it anyway.

The way it was explained me was that if your farm is fully fenced and secure then you’re ok. But if it’s not, then you can be tested even though you’re on your own private property.
