Again, for those who keep banging on about “dumb AI behaviour” (and that actually have the game), have you actually tried increasing the “CPU Pressure Awareness” slider up to the 70s or 80s?

I haven’t had more than 2 out on the fulls in my 7.5min qtr games since moving this slider, along with slight reduction in “play on” slider also (not sure if this matters).

Frustrating for it to happen, even more frustrating to see the same people continually whinge about the game when they have a potential solution available to them.

This is all beside the point anyway, which is that it shouldn't be on the user to come up with a slider configuration that makes the game remotely playable. The AI kicking 3.17 and having 30 out on the fulls a game shouldn't be the default.

Please do show it then. Most of mine have included suggestions or relate to the bug list I created. A few off topic.

Not confident in the 50 odd posts you have here however. Seem to be attacking other users and not much on the actual game

and they’re on record saying they’d correct that default.

So I see it as you have 2 options.

1) Stop playing the game and stubbornly wait until they patch it.

2) Spend 5 minutes adjusting sliders, get a game that sees the AI kick a realistic score almost every time, only kicks OOTF once or twice a game, utilises switches correctly which do work, doesn’t kick stupid kicks too often (not much more than an AFL team). Enjoy.

Note how both of the above proposed options don’t contain “proceed to go back to this unofficial, non-supported forum thread, and whinge about the game despite doing neither of the above”.

Do any of the sliders change the AI to NOT kick into the man on the mark every time you call for the ball in Pro Player mode?

It was the same in Evo 1, and I get that if you wait for them to move back a bit more and not rush the kick it comes off better, but realistically the player should take the initiative to not just blast it into the man on the mark just because someone calls for it instantly.

Why bitch about “I shouldn’t have to change the sliders“, but then say “I’m already on legend difficulty“.
So you are (not you specifically) already changing a slider. Why not up another one if youre not happy with the AIs intelligence.

just played another 30min game then, ONE AI out on the full. If anything that’s not enough.
I have pressure awareness slider up around mid 70s, and the tackle awareness and another awareness slider up around the same number.

Personally I am just waiting on that day 1 patch that is 100% coming because we are clearly playing an early release of the game.

Which slider fixes me being pinged for throwing the ball when clearly i've kicked it?

It annoys me that despite all the delays we're playing something that is for all intents and purposes, an Early Access title. It should never have been released in its current state.

I'm still enjoying it, but the patches better fix all the issues. As people have said, sliders shouldn't have to be used to fix fundamental problems with the game, they should be used to tweak something that works for most people into something that suits an individual's unique style, eg more run and gun or slower and more possession-based. The default settings should be somewhere in the middle, not "AI sprays it out in the full and the back pocket plays in the ruck and whatever you do don't play Career Mode 'cos it's borked".

For the ruck one, have your second ruck start on the bench and be sure to set them as second ruck in the team management section. Haven't had any ruck issues in a while.

That 3rd one shits me. The ball can be sailing through the big sticks from 50 out and somehow get called as a throw! 4th one I haven't experienced myself, though seen a few others complain about it.

One that really annoys me is in Be a Pro (rookie), playing in the forward pocket and being teleported to full-back. I then have to leg it back up the field to get back to my position. I understand why they reset positions at stoppages, but I'm not a ****ing full-back!

You can turn that reset positions thing off but with how bad the camera is and the lack of ability to track your direct opponent it was far easier to have the reset, but gee its poorly implimented.

And all you're doing is bitching and complaining about people with legitimate issues with the game. You haven't contributed anything to this thread, I don't think there's a post relating to the actual game from you.

Yeah my back pocket is Luke McDonald and he always finds himself forward.

I always play 7 defenders. His role is general defender which I assume is what Shepard is. It disent bother me but I have seen what the other poster has.

The fact that the customer has a means available to fix the service themselves doesn't mean that the initial service isn't subpar.

I tried this too. Had Ivan Soldo as second ruck coming off of the bench. The game subbed him on once. Nick Vlastuin got moved into the ruck twice, and Nank rucked one quarter singlehandedly.

And again, even if it did work, this shouldn't be a requirement. Guys like Paddy Ryder, Justin Westhoff, Oscar McInerney don't start on the bench, they start in the forward line. You should be able to pick them in their regular position and still have them rotate through the ruck like they're supposed to.

And you should be able to save a default second ruck the same way you can save default squads, but in what I can only assume was a basic oversight by the developers, you can't. If I play against Port on AFL Evo with my preferred squad in place, they have 192cm teenager Mitch Georgiades as the default second ruck, and there's nothing I can do to change that default setting.

I did that and although it does at times use the ruck off the bench there still been a game that I played last week where my back pocket was all of sudden in ruck again. So something in the coding has situations it will still go back to that issue. I not played it enough times to work out exactly how it brings this about. But I know I set my second ruck as my second ruck on bench and does not solve it entirely.

Thick skins would be nice as there is still a lot of good in game to build on if they focus on fixing much of the silly stuff and not mentally go to water because of the shit that does need attention.

Yep. The sliders should be refinements to the gameplay. Not something that needs to be maxed out here and minimised there just to get it playable.

How many people here are also on the WickedSports forum?

Some individual issues/suggestions are clearly being heard on that forum...

For example, on camera angles, everyone asks for an ‘end to end rotating camera angle’ for marks and free kicks...
Would be good to have the opinions from others on each individual topic, so they can get a consensus.

Here, WW followed up and even asked if people want an ingame camera cycle button.

To change the camera is too many button clicks, and there isn’t an example of what you’re changing it to in the menu (just has a picture of cogs!). The right hand side of the menu screen should show how the camera will change as I customise the options, position, angle, zoom etc. Thanks.

I tried turning it off but then when the opposition gets a free, they kick straight away and I get pinged for being in the protected zone. So it's either constantly give up 50s or enjoy the scenery from the wrong end of the ground.

I agree. As it is, I can't emulate the Big Boy to Defence move or I end up with O'Brien in the ruck. Have to start MvEcoy and have Cegs on the bench (or vice versa).
