To clear any doubt if it says 1.01 it is release patch and 1.02 is the first patch post game. (Current)

Can't you do a specific update to the latest version of the game somewhere in the menu?
I tried the options menu and its telling me I have the latest version despite it being 1.0.1 when there's 1.02 now!!

maybe I’m wrong then, it’s definitely been running smoother for me and the kick slider changed, but maybe I’m mistaken on it being patch related, I’ll have a look after work if it’s 1 or 2 version.
Well that is a major oversight on their part for this patch.
So the ladder is not always accurate and could throw up strange things like this.
They need to fix that big time. It must not happen all the time or more people would have mentioned but strange things with ladder have now happened more than just once and both before and after first patch.

For me the game still runs rough. Like trying to play Duke Nukem 3D on a 486 when it runs flawlessly on a Pentium. That said by the third quarter my eyes were used to the chugging frame rate. Still beat the AI 87 to 2.
The Switch version also has an annoying thud noise that plays throughout matches (similar to when you scroll to the end of a menu on the Switch and you can't move further). I notice it more during replay transitions but its also distracting when it occurs during gameplay.
I don't think the Switch patch is officially out ? I went through the menus to see if the graphics options that are now visible on ps4/xbo post patch were there on the Switch version and they were not.
Also I've only had Anthony Hudson say welcome to AFL Evolution 2 at the start screen on the Xbox. But I've had different audio play at the title screen on the Switch. Anthony has also said "this is the afl evolution". And "welcome to afl evolution 2, everyones excited... there should be some great footy coming up". Garry Lyon snippets have also been heard. Yet on the Xbox version I've only heard welcome to afl evolution 2 by Huddo every time I've loaded the game.

Given the time it takes for updates to get through Nintendo, it may have been submitted earlier/later and the options may differ to other platforms - Sebastian Giompaolo may be able to confirm?
(We have this problem on AO2 and C19, Switch patches are way later and can't be feature complete compared to the other platforms as Nintendo greatly limit both the size and number of patches.)

I love how you can have empty stadium matches now (by turning off the graphics settings)
But the crowd volume is still there
Is crowd volume its own slider? Could drop that down if so. Personally if I was dropping the crowd purely for better performance I'd probably still want the crowd noise anyway. Happily ignore the empty crowd and pretend they're still there.

Ok. I own a nintendo switch. Ive saved up me pennys and now have enough to buy the game. Physical copy.... but after hearing how bad it is on switch its scared me right off. I love afl... is it any good on switch now? Has the patch been implimented? If so how has it changed the game itself. I really want this game but maybe i should just save up for an xbox. Help me out here guys
