AFL Evolution - Launch thread

I didnt play the game for the past 10 days and going back to it, I still consider it more fun than NBA 2K (which has been patched like 9 times and is beyond ruined)

It really does need just one big patch to make the flow, marking and coaching more unpredictible and tweak the banana/torpedo angles when kicking.

But remember that NBA 2K impresses by the vastness in variations of animation movements and it's realism...

As an AFL fan it's certainly easier to enjoy Evolution as a game, but i don't think it's quite at the point of the vastness in detail of NBA2k..

The mere comparison to Evolution to NBA 2k is fairly laughable IMO.

The only thing that would bias me towards Evolution is that I'm a much bigger football fan than basketball. Much like why I play Bradman and not MLB The Show.

The best of this is probably slightly above the best of the previous ones. But there is a lot wrong with it.

Went and brought the game last week

Its fun enough to play, and am enjoying career mode. However there is the odd bug, and repetitive gameplay elements that do require you to suspend belief at stages (constantly kicking to packs).

Definitely leaning more positive however. Will get blasted on here for saying this, but i'd happily give WW a few more iterations to build on this start (I don't include AFL Live 2 or other console attempts as current)

Any news on a potential patch? I returned the game after a week, despite having fun with it. The AI kicking a point from the goalsquare every single time and Hawthorn's home ground magically moving to Ballarat were too much to overlook, unfortunately. I'll pick it up again if a patch fixes up that kind of crap.

Decided to go back in on my Be A Pro rookie career and come the last game of the season the game just shits itself and quits.....

Frustrating to say the least.

Graphics look good, but videos like that are pointless. We understand that the graphics look good 10 seconds in, showing no actual gameplay........pointless.

Graphics look pretty good but everything still has that washed out look that DBC 17 had

Big Ant still can't get presentation right though (it just feels like all these cutscenes are rushing to start the game rather than have a decent pre game build up that can be skipped if you want to)

I am yet to make a public comment on the AFL Evolution game and will not.

I am commenting regarding comments about my game, and I do find the FIFA references totally amusing.

I go to the AFL every week I can, I remain a committed fan of the sport, and as a long suffering Carlton fan I don't think my passion about the sport itself can be questioned, which is why I am still on this site, FWIW I was at an AFL breakfast this morning.
