I'm keen just as much as anyone, but forcing things to happen will only exacerbate the cyclical narrative that surrounds AFL game. If they release a half-baked and late product, then people will be burned and won't buy later iterations, which means less demand for an AFL game, which either means no further games or less financial backing for another, which means worse quality, thus they release a half-baked and late product.......you get the idea.
They need to do it right, or not do it at all. There are plenty of people like you or I that will purchase this day 1 because it's an AFL game. But we're not the people that 'matter', since we'll buy it no matter what. It's the people who are apprehensive due to past failures, or unsure due to doubting the quality - these people need to be swayed and convinced to purchase these games. Without them and their money, there'll never be a quality AFL game.
