Roy is only 154 points behind me. That means a raw score of 38.5

That's easily made so no need to choose a unique captain.

Probably shouldn't be helping you like this, but i never pick uniques. So work out which team i will use and then try to manipulate it to make up those 38.5 points.

I'm 28 raw points behind the leader so hopefully she doesn't pick the same team as me or it will be impossible to catch her.

Good luck Warnie

EDIT: Having said that, you'll have to outscore all of the other teams too so it probably wasn't the best advice. Also, with only two teams to choose from, its impossible not to pick a few unique players.

haha.. good stuff man! it's very exciting times.. and will be very stressful too! roy, vt/chop and I are all going to the grand final - so, flying out of launnie Thursday and Friday .. might have to find an internet cafe for any late withdrawals.. what a huge week we have coming up! (a cool episode of DT Talk will be online Tuesday nite - with an Awards show!)...

1000 honestly you dont thin youse can win a car 999 more people with chance to outscore you.... someone from top 20 i rekon will be in there to win it

Even if your 300th overall you are still 149 RAW points behind. Which means you would have to have a unique team that consists of at least 3 random players that out score 3 more obvious players on the day by 50pts each:eek:, and hope none of the 300 people in front of you picked at least one of them. Bordering on impossible, seeing as many people are looking for uniques this week.

Or pick a captain that nobody in front of you has and hope they score 150-200pts.

The team currently ranked 1st is ineligible. They were first after week 1 but in the weekly email they had the 2nd team as winning the weekly prize.

pretty sure it would be hard to pick a unique team to make up that much ground. considering 299 players ahead of you trying to do the same thing

Just hoping for the weekly prize now. With everyone going for smokeys I figure I'll just go with a standard team.

Joel Corey's score (for finals round 3) was recalculated from 120 (360) to 123 (369). Some other scores may have been adjusted as well but that is the only one I noticed changed.

9 points doesn't sound like much, but it was enough to jump me from 96th to 92th overall and equal first overall for QLD and Lions supporters.

Pretty much going for a straight down the line team this week, but just can't decide between cassisi and s. burgoyne in the centre.. any suggestions?

I know the gut feeling is the worst thing to follow in DT, but i have one that Pearce wont do much. This is the same gut feeling that made me play Wells against Port this week . I was also thinking about Selwood, but don't know how he'll cope with the GF pressure. sitting with 11 port 11 geelong players at the minute, but come the big day anything could happen :p

we need to be careful because K carnes's opponent will probably score bad and same with lings opponen. Does anyone know who ling and K cornes will tag? Im guessing G Ablett/Bartel and C cornes/Pearce??????

84th overall, shud b top 20 after leaving out swan for pendles under the assumption swan wud come out of the game with 'orangitis' and ling towelled him up, however in with a really outside shot at the prize i think.

to be honest i think this weeks dt's will consist of a core group of 14-18 players.

milburn
mackie
cornes
burgoyne

bartel(although kanes tagged corey last time, bartel didnt play he may change this week)
cornes
corey( though danger kane will shut him down)

lade
ottens( i am considering playing him in the forward to bolster it with 5 geelong players, and playing a brogan lade combination)

ablett
johnson
chapman(harry got the better of him, wont happen in the big GF)

filling the gaps will be players like scarlett/surjan/hunt/wojinski down back. i think chaplin is a lock for most especially the noobs hu will c his high score and jump on. however i had him last week because of his consistency throughout last 6 weeks.

centre their is a big dilemma, as to hu ling will take.
however spaces will b filled by salopek/pearce/enright/selwood and perhaps shaun burgoyne if coaches r willing to risk the ling tag.

forwards will b filled by mooney/ebert/rodan(a lock for me, plays in midfield)/motlop(very flukey although geel defence will struggle for speed match up)/ treadrea but i think harley will give him a bath.

all the best like to hear ur thoughts.

Anyone in Victoria know about Hunt's 'injury cloud'? I heard about the dehydration but didn't know he was in any doubt to play.. Is it worth risking him, or just go with Scarlett? Been stung with late changes in this finals series, Beau Waters against Collingwood hurt. :(

sorry cant help you with hunt?

tossing up between huint and scarlett for last back spot??

last centre, either stokes? cassisi? selwood? ling? or s.burgoyne? though fear of the man who cannot shake a tag may suffer from orangitis on sattday arvo?

if Ling goes to Shaun, Shaun will shift forward almost immediately.

I think if you're trying to choose between Ebert and Motlop, Motlop would be a marginally better choice, because whilst Ebert is consistent, and capable of kicking a bag, he has got this knee issue, and I think Geelong may have trouble matching Motlop's pace.

I'd just rather risk Motlop getting a low score of 40 with the possibility of hitting the low hundreds, instead of backing Ebert in who, if he doesn't play could get 0. Or his knee might restrict him and he may only play 2 quarters.

I wish coaches would stop playing injured players or at least not do these last minute changes. Don't they realise we have Dream Teams riding on these last minute decisions :D

Yea, well said. Last week Ebert had the same issue. I went with Rodan instead. Even though in the end of the day there was about 2pts difference between the 2 in Rodans favour i thought it was a good move because Ebert kicked a few goals, but he also was rested on the bench for periods at a time. So he could easily have got sub 50 if it wasn't such a dominant performance from Port.

yeh i agree, coaches need to be aware of dreamteamers

the fijian is a lock for me, i do agree geelong will struggle with motlops speed and versaltility. however as mentioned above he fluctuates. but scarlett to take the hoff, harley to take the old fella, hunt to take ebert it leaves milburn who will struggle for pace, and possibly fitness as cloke exposed this thru leading up last week.

anyways cheers for the help fellas, next issue would be, is will brogan score higher than ebert? hes been consistent over last 5 weeks with the exception of west coast but he had cox to deal with that night. last 4 scores w/out eagles...77 76 74 85 running into solid form, will be up against steven king, your thoughts?

hmmm hoff should find himself with scarlett and get towelled up, and as for treadrea, harley is running into good form and is likely to give him a bath, however one may b required to cover motlop if he gets away which may loosen these 2 up.

Mate, I'm with you there, I've been tossing up the Brogan/Lade combo and dropping Ottens forward all week, and now that King is in, I really think it could pay off.

If Geelong's ruck combo is going well, Lade and Brogan will probably both get a fair bit of time in the ruck. But like you said, when faced with a serious ruckman like Cox, Brogan did have an average game. Hamish Macintosh isn't what you'd call a bad ruckman, but he's no Cox or Ottens. Although if you look at round 21, Brogan had a pretty good game against Cats... anyone know what his average is like at the G?

I think it'll all come down to, how well you expect King to play in the ruck, and how likely you think Ebert is to have a 80+ point game. I don't see Brogan getting more than 80/90. But I also don't see him getting less than 65/70.

Too many things to consider. Dreamteams are stupid, I don't need this kind of stress in my life. :D

...Especially if it rains, more stoppages, more ruckwork, 3 ruckmen could pay off etc... *shrug*
