Disagree, I think Geelong will be the slider team of the season and will be lucky to finish inside the 8. I don't think they have the quality of depth that will be needed for a covid affected 2022 season.

Thinks said about Geelong every year for the last 20 years

I hope Geelong bomb out but they still have Cameron, Hawkins, Danger, Stewart, Guthrie etc. 12 wins needed, havent looked at the draw but should get there really. Teams on the bubble like wce (old), Essendon, carlton, saints arent much chop themselves then us, kangas, freo, gcs, hawks, pies no real threat anyway...

Don’t know if this is new or not but there’s pretty good odds to multi up the “to make the top 8” market on Sportsbet.
For example I multied
Melb
Bulldogs
Bris
Geel
Port
And Carlton as my roughie
And got $9.96
Seems value??

It's a bit of a trick as every team you take reduces the number of places there are for other teams to also make the top 8.

True but if it think the first 5 are a lock, I’m basically getting $10 for Carlton to fill one of the remaining 3 places

Yeah comes up every year around this time. The Top 4/Top 8 multi bets are the opposite of taking dependant outcomes and you get zero extra juice despite the odds of each selection getting larger with each leg you add. Terrible bet types.

On a larger scale you wouldnt take a same game multi on a Hawks vs Pies match with the Hawks to win the 1st half by 40+ into the Pies to win the match by 20+ without expecting some major dividend juice above what the individual legs were paying

Coleman

  • Max King ($16 TAB) averaged 2.66 goals in final 8 games. Would equate to 60+ in a full season. Breakout possible like Harry last year.
  • Ben Brown ($29 PB) a big price for a guy who's kicked 60+ in 3 of last 5 seasons. Had a very solid end to the year. Great kick who maximises shots.

the trend in Coleman medal has seen lower and lower goals kicked per season.

McKay won it last year playing 19 games, for around 58 goals.

I think that trend will continue. 3 goals a game may be enough to pinch the medal for 2022.

I dont think Lance Franklin comes close in 2022, he will probably continue his rotation on and off in the team. ( he probably would have won it last year had he played all games)

Anyway for the home and away season I reckon the line for the Coleman winner goals should be around the 66.5 goals unders/overs line.

Hopefuly SB bring back more pre-covid futures markets they use to have.
Most marks, tackles, disposals and AA markets were fun
Looks like Pointsbet have some of these markets up. Mabior Chol $11.00 for Gold Coast leading goalscorer is nice. Was playing FF yesterday.

Yeah Eagles are cooked. Two 100 point floggings last year and lost 7 of their last 9 only knocking off the Crows and Saints at home a decent sign of things to come
