So the AFL doing a Game of Thrones week. I'm sure it has nothing to do with major sponsor Foxtel being the primary distributor of legal GoT in Australia.
Well, we can only resist it for so long, so how is everyone feeling about GoT just about to wrap up?

I'm both sad and relieved

They could flog it like a dead horse but they're riding off into the sunset gracefully

Dany to have the bastard's batstard child that they'll call El Bastardo.

Joffrey to return as second in command of the white walkers and to take the throne when the white king stumbles into the camp fire after celebrating a tad too hard post the end of days war

This will probably be a better ending than what they give us.

The key to this series was always anticipation, making you question what would happen next was all the fun. It was all foreplay. Now it's all big battles and long awaited reveals and all climax and it's a little less rewarding. Much like Supercoach itself; it's fun to question everything and set up plans, create theories, based on speculative information, but then the real thing begins, your players butcher your score, and it's not nearly what you hoped it to be.

Trying to form a squad when half your team could be out by death every week is going to be very hard.

Players to watch:

Jaime Lannister DEF/FWD $442, 600.

With handy swing status, Jaime heads North on a transfer to assist against the AotD, but history and a serious injury may conspire against him.

Bran Stark DEF/RUC $219, 300

Bran is seriously underpriced for the potential influence he has on the season. His precognitive abilities give him the best potential for hit-outs to advantage in the league.

Daenerys Targaryen FWD $562, 400

Dany would probably scream 'Pick me!' at anyone she could, but as a volatile key forward, she might fall in price over the first couple of weeks and be ripe for a trade in.

Meera Reed DEF $102, 400.

An excellent player who is on the rookie list, Meera is a must have if she gets a game. I'd personally pick her as a Doughnut to play, although lack of DPP hurts somewhat.

Gendry Waters MID/FWD $187, 900

Slightly elevated price tag but with a lot of potential. Will be better suited in a midfielder role when he provides the weapons and armor but can swing forward if necessary, but his parentage might lead to the tag being clamped on him.

Varys RUC $435, 600

Varys is probably the Ben McEvoy of GoT Supercoach. Good draft pick, but you'd probably avoid him in the main game.

Jon Snow FWD $502, 300

Jon was unlucky to lose his MID/FWD DPP after last season but he has been consistently up around the top scorers every season. It was only a short time ago that he averaged 140+ in the second half of season six. People might expect that was a spike year but he had been heavily tagged by Daenerys Targaryen last season, and coaches are salivating for a reunion with his season 6 midfield. With Bran Stark tapping the ball down, and Arya Stark a lively small forward he could be in for a career high season.

Arya Stark RUC/FWD $434, 900

Arya won't be the #1 ruck at Winterfell but will give Bran a chop out as doubtlessly he'll be targeted. Arya's goalkicking catches the eye, but she doesn't rely on it to score well, one of the best defensive small forwards in the league, her ground pressure ensures there is no easy escape out of the North's Forward 50.

Brienne of Tarth DEF/MID $387, 500

Playing a key defensive role, Brienne won't get reward as much as her influence would suggest. She also has the ability to swing into the midfield as a big-bodied extractor or even a tagger, but her excellent utility sadly counts against her as a Supercoach option.

Sansa Stark MID $720, 300

People wonder why a seemingly outside midfielder never gets tagged. The problem is, after five years of dealing with a heavy tag, Sansa is just about immune. She has the cleanest hands in the league and is an elite kick. Some decry that she doesn't have much influence on the contest but she is always a link in the chain and she always keeps her score ticking up through the best distribution in the game. She can win her own ball, and improvements can be made to her goal and tackle counts, but why change what works. With Jon Snow returning to Winterfell, one of the best inside midfielders in the league, and with the potential addition of a big body like Gendry Waters, a career high average beckons for the Lady of Winterfell.
