It is an intersting debate we have internally about balancing the "real world" stats with the ability of say taking the 16th team to the flag... should everyone have an even shot?

Definitely agree with that.

For the sake of balance you will want every team to be fairly even so that any old player can jump in and dominate (or at least beat other teams) with their favourite team. But conversely if you want to have a career or whatnot where the aim is to build a real dynasty then I think the teams need to be realistic to the extent that you have to build a side like Richmond/Melbourne/West Coast to actually be a good and dominant side where all a team like Geelong or St.Kilda need is a few additions from time to time.

I get the dilemma but personally as someone who wants realism over 'fair play' I think I'd want the real world stats. Even if it does mean the Tiges aren't that great to start with, I would much rather the realism in the Tiges stats to be able to build them up and compete with a Geelong in the career mode after a few years than have them be able to beat them almost straight away.

Would definantly be good to have manager mode difficulity's similar to FIFA 10 (board difficulty i think it is)

If you set manager mode difficulty to easy, then all teams play as equal, and West Coast can win the flag
However play on hard manager mode difficulty, and all of a sudden the same effort on easy with WCE will only get you about 5 wins

Allows people the choice of a realistic game or a fun game

Never happens, in the name of fairness they always nominate a few defenders, midfielders, forwards and ruck's.

Is there head high bumping?
And are their any left field things in the game that nobody suspects? Don't have to name them if you aren't allowed, a yes or no would be suffice.
Btw, if you are running out of people for any game testing, just inbox me. Will race down.

To expand on my little dig at Masten and Ebert above

I reckon that eventually in the AFL game, you should be able to be playing, and feel as if you have the ball with judd, or feel as though you have the ball with Ablett.......or of course feel as though you have the ball with Oakley Nichols or Ebert

Although this is something that not even FIFA can master quite yet, so it would be hard

That was quick - only just captured it - first public screenshot :)

Pity I had to cut it down, it's only 4k!

EDIT: Actually, I see it is only 1k, oh well...

There won't be head high bumps, tackles, but not bumps.

Most of the "left of field" (odd) things will be trophy/achievement based.

I can definitely see why the "photo-realism" line was brought out. As I said if that's what we can expect then I'm very impressed.

Cool. Love different trophies. I was expecting the usual boring, bland stuff. But if there's some quirks in there then that will definitely add to the fun in my trophy whoring.:thumbsu:

Just tell me/us when you want us to stop asking questions/get sick of answering questions. Dont mean to speak for everyone, but we are all very excited for the games.

How far into the game are you?. Like, if you don't mind me asking, what is there still to be done?
