Terrible behaviour at the Carlton v Saints game. A goal umpire was hit in the back of the head by a water bottle thrown from the crowd.

The fool who did it deserves a lifetime ban from attending AFL. Further, they should be stripped of any AFL related membership. To show society this is unacceptable VicPol must also lay charges and have this loser charged.

However, to be fair to the average blue bagger, I don’t want to purely rely on logic and probability.

Hopefully the media call it out so that one club can at least not be tarred by the same brush. If by the slimmest of chance it’s a neutral, umpire supporter, rogue staff member or hired gun, it can be established to put beyond doubt their allegiance.
