Can't believe how many times all our players did this all finals series. We had no composure every final just banging it in
Buckley didn't do this for memory, but right now I don't remember anything ... so whatever. I reckon having Bucks in charge, hopefully he takes more responsibility personally for mistakes and therefore has the responsibility to fix it.
It's probably my black and white bias here, but I reckon Buckley is the best player to ever touch a footy, the guy has to be the right man to lead the club. Can't have us bombing the damn ball in time after time. Someone should be shot if it keeps happening, get the Hussein's in to mix it up.
Feels like I've just been dumped. I thought the pain of 02/03 and prior were distant enough and we wouldn't face it this year. So.. absolutely gutted. So gutted

Oh no fair picking on Dawes, Davis, really. Dawes was very good until his injury and then just didn't have enough games to get back to top form. He did well last week.
And I also disagree with the criticism of Mick's coaching re: Reid. Reid was lame as a 3-legged horse, but to move Tarrant to Hawkins means Reid went to Steve J. Hardly an exciting prospect.
Clearly the Stevie J injury was on huge snow job.
Sadly our injuries were anything but. If there's Mick criticism it is at the selection table. Last year and the year before, he would pick the kids. This year, he steadfastly stuck with the experienced players, but they were players that were either injured, or underdone or had been well down on form for a long time.
Jolly and Reid of course should have been Wood and Goldsack. Although, I thought Jolly did better than Reid. Reid just should not have played. Neither should have Didak. A great player, but not this year. He's had no form for months and remained consistent today.
A lot of things went wrong for us in the 2nd half of the year, but some were self-inflicted. The Shaw and Thomas suspensions were crucial. As were the Jolly, Reid, Maxwell and Johnson injuries.
Ironically, j-pod going off injured changed the game. They had to change their setup and they ran away with it from that point on.
Anyway, I am proud of my team and of Mick. He just announced he's leaving the club and I think that's a good decision. Bucks left him with nothing meaningful to do so best to make a break and let Bucks have it.

Gutted, but the best team on the day won. Kudos to Geelong, they earnt it.
Roll on 2012. Our club is a fantastic club and we've been treated to some outstanding footy this year from our boys. I'm sure they'll bottle it and come out harder and hungrier next year. As usual, I'll be there to see it.

Pretty sick of Johnson tbh. He's been a good player for a long time for Collingwood, and I don't mind if he continues on but continually butchers the ball going forward and making some pretty average decisions. Can get very annoying at time especially when he had 25 touches.
We just didn't perform up to scratch, the worst part about it is though it's not all about that. Absolutely flogged in the contested ball was disappointing, that's where we lost it. Wouldn't have minded a bigger body mid-sized player such as goldsack of macaffer (obviously wasnt going to happen) instead of the few talls and a lot of smalls. I like the flexibility it brings to our side.
Looking forward to see how we go in the off-season and next year!

When pods went off I thought throw either taz or Reid forward and go for the jugular. y Reid stayed on Hawkins was beyond me. Mick is denying he was injured.

We were piss weak after half-time.
Ben Reid was woeful. Should of been subbed off at half time.
Very disappointed on how selfish he was and declared him fit when he couldn't catch Hawkins on a lead.

Right team won int he end - Their star players stood up when the pressure was on, our stars failed once again (especially Swan - pretty much the Kevin Martin of the AFL).
I was waiting for Reid to be moved off Hawkins when he was being destroyed - Happened too late
I was waiting for a plan B in the last quarter - Didn't happen
Was hoping Leigh Brown would actually do something in his last game, split a pack open ffs - Didn't happen

We have too many players that can't do shit all when the pressure is on...
Oh well, we will be back hungrier next year, and maybe under Bucks we will have a plan B in case plan A doesn't work.

Hey guys i don't care what anyone says...no way am i going to bag any pies players..we were outplayed by a fitter team..i do not believe for one second that any of our boys were not giving every thing they had...unfortunately geelong had more to give than us..i am proud to be a collingwood supporter..guttered but proud..go pies and bring on 2012

We should have led by 20 at half time. Backline was pretty average all day and while Hawkins was decent, Reid made him look good.

Geelong are mentally soft look at 08 GF when the played a physical Hawks team, they started seeing shadows.
Brisbane had a better line across every part of the game were as skilled as Geelong as big (if not bigger) and had 1 ingredient we lacked PHYSICALITY.
we took many under done players into that GF and we werent the form team, similar to collingwood this year so if you say we are mentally soft then you are saying the same about collingwood,
Anyways, was a good game, use will be thereabouts next year
