Brisbane have massive Father Son and academy advantages, as well as easily the strongest list in the comp (how can they afford them all?!).

Alistair Lynch on 360 yesterday specifically said players go up there for less money and a higher chance of success. Sound familiar?

Then they have also had a salary cap fine: "The Brisbane Lions have been fined for issues related to third-party payments to players in the past, including a $10,000 fine in 2017 for failing to correctly lodge their total player payment information due to an administrative error."

They didn't pay that much for Neale, Daniher, Dunkley, Cameron and Ah Chee.

Your bias makes you only outraged about Geelong though.

Both have recent premierships, so there is no drought to barrack for the end of.

Both clubs have 4 premierships in the last 25 years.

However, Geelong have 4 flags in the last 20, while Brisbane have 1.

Brisbane are the underdogs.

Do not care. The AFL is getting stale.. very predictable. same old teams challenging all the time. 2025 needed a surprise but the Crows $hit the bed. A Crows v Suns GF would have been fresh.. yet we got the same old 4 teams playing off to make the GF.

Problem with GC or GWS in the gf is there's no real sense of a battle between fanbases. I went to the 2019 GF parade and it was just a Richmond circle jerk. Atmosphere at the game would be very one sided. I'd still like to see it mind you.

Oh come on, footy fans have been envious of Geelong for years, they want nothing more than to see Geelong fail. It's an Australian tradition to have the "Tall Poppy Syndrome".
