Portfolio AFL in 2006

Hey everyone,
Thought I'd have a go at an alternate history sort of portfolio, obviously first things first I recently started a portfolio on the South East FNL , a portfolio to test my template. It's about 35% complete and I will continue to work on it but I wanted to start this one. Basically a portfolio full of what if's. As most of you are aware only a few teams had clash jumpers in 2006 with a large portion of clash jumpers coming into practise in 2007 and beyond.

In 2006, the AFL declared all 16 teams must have a home and clash jumper with a few clubs requested to have a third jumper to avoid jumper clashes.

At the end of Melbourne decided to relocate after they were struggling to attract fans and members despite having a half decent team. It was made official as of November 2005 that Melbourne would relocate to Melbourne's South East at Holm Park Beaconsfield. The club would be known as the South East Demons.

The portfolio will work so that every team will have the sponsors they had at the time along with their club logos unless I decide to change some to my own design. Obviously during this period GWS Giants and Gold Coast didn't exist. But obviously large talks during the time had North Melbourne planning to locate to the Gold Coast. Whether the relocation happened or not will be decided in this portfolio ;)

Basically I just wanna perfect the league in 2006 and put in good designs before they get ruined by shitty clash jumpers like the piss stain.

What if North Melbourne became the Gold Coast Kangaroos?
What if Port Adelaide and Fremantle never rebranded?
Imagine if Tasmania was granted a team?

2006 Season home jumpers, cheers Mero for reference.

Adelaide Crows:
Home: The Adelaide Crows wanted to include more blue in their home guernsey for 2006, they felt the contrast was better along with removing the side panels off the home.

Away: Already in the works by the club for a while it was decided that a red dominant jumper would be adopted as the away to the delight of the fans

Clash: Adelaide decided on the third jumper to be yellow to go with their 3 main primary colours in navy blue, yellow and red. It was decided that the jumper would be based off a early pre season jumper by the crows which would be modernised.

SYDNEY SWANS:
Pretty simple stuff from the Sydney Swans, After winning the premiership the club were given opportunity to display the premiership in a way on their 2006 guernseys. The club decided to change the colour of the AFL logo to the Swans colours and introduce a premiers symbol underneath the AFL text.

The new clash jumper was introduced based on many heritage round jumpers which were based on South Melbourne's days.

Brisbane Lions - The club who avoided a long road down a dodgy design path
In 2006 in a team meeting the club had decided to show the players and staff of the Brisbane Football Club some new alternate jumper designs decided for the club to be used down the track, this also included a new club logo which was described as a ''paddlepop Lion'' Meanwhile a guernsey was also allegedly shown which was described as a ''piss stain''. It's believed Jonathan Brown spoke up and said ''What the f*** is this s***?!? We can't be seen wearing that and also cannot be using that s***** logo... Michael Voss also spoke up and said ''we should inherit the logo and jumpers we just recently won 3 Grand Finals FFS'' Finally Simon Black contributed to the team meeting suggesting we should use Fitzroy inspired away and a more traditional yellow away''

Fair to say Brisbane really dodged a bullet here. Rumour has it Brisbane are so satisfied the clash jumper will be here for the next 10 years at least. #glorious

Carlton Football Club:
After gathering the wooden spoon in 2005 with a total of 4 wins the Blues were out to set a familiar but new look to their famous club identity. They decided to adopt the light blue away jumper along with a white inverse of the home as a clash jumper. It was prayed that the famous Blues would be an improved side in 2006 after constantly being s**t for a long time. Turns out these new jumpers for the Blues made them shitter than expected capping out the wooden spoon again in 2006 with only 3 wins.

At least some realism in that backstory would be nice..

:(

**continuing with the same template as last time

At the end of the 2005 season Collingwood finished second last with just 5 wins for the season, president Eddie Mcguire elected some ''minor tweaks'' to the playing kit in order to take a stance after several issues were raised between clashes with Geelong. Mcguire introduced 3 different jumpers to be worn with a home, away and clash all being somewhat distinctly different. The home jumper has had more white introduced to be worn in all home games except for its round 8 clash with Geelong where the pies will wear the away jumper.

Yeah, would love to see the rest if you get the free time.

Port Adelaide:
Port Adelaide were granted to return the prison bars after entering the national competition 9 years ago. The prison bars would be the home jumper strictly worn only in Adelaide. The current sbs home would be tweaked and become the away jumper while a new clash jumper was introduced replacing the 3d lightning bolts that were currently worn. Scott's would also be given the rights to be the front sponsor for all 3 jumpers.
