Yeah I'm more than happy with names, haha I don't expect to be given a player model for every TAC Cup player. But I just reckon it would be a difficult thing to make happen even with names, just due to licensing. Even massive sports franchises like the NBA 2K didn't have licensed D-League players, only the clubs themselves (although they have just included 14 Euroleague Teams for NBA 2K14).

Damn excited for this already! a 15 year spanning career mode is going to be intense. And the career manager mode is something i will get stuck into straight away. Something about knowing you are the coach of the side, being able to do sponsors, training and drafting. Sounds like they have added a bit of Premiership coach into the AFL game

Surely it's fully licensed? If it doesn't have full lists, I'll be a little bit disappointed in all honesty.

I'd say if anyone could be stuffed they could edit all the players and make them into real life VFL players, would be a massive task but I'm sure someone will do it haha

Actually, wouldn't it be great if there was some sort of file sharing capability on AFL LIVE 2, we could all pitch in and do a VFL/TAC Cup team each then upload.

I am out of direct internet coverage at the moment - unfortunately I have to let it be known that we at Big Ant Studios are not involved with AFL Live 2.

Obviously we are passionate AFL fans (go Blues!!) and would have loved to have been involved however we could not come to terms that suited all parties.

That's awful to hear. I remember when I met with Ross a couple of years ago to preview AFL Live, he spoke about the things they wanted to do for the sequel they figured they'd be making and it just makes me sad they haven't been able to do it.

I'm almost prepared to write this off as not worth getting, especially if Wicked Witch is behind it.

Or have the new developer implemented their own systems and mechanics for Live 2?

If the former, I'll have some mild faith that at least the base mechanics will be done right, as Big Ant did an admirable job on what was a first outing. Just hope it's a case of building on something good and making it better, not scraping it and building from the ground up again.

Terrible news wicked witch have had 2/3 attempts at an afl game in the past and have not succeeded once. Looks like AFL has been relegated back to its ps2 poor quality days. I knew when rll2 and ba cricket were being shown off it was too good to be true that we would get an equivalent AFL game. I'm happy to be proven wrong by wicked witch but like trickstar and cricket games ,wicked witch are yet to show me they can make a good AFL game.

They should have held off until next year and done it for the next gen consoles. Although tbh I have no idea if that would be achievable as it would probably cost a bucketload?

I hope they improved it a hell of a lot!!! It was a terrible game on Wii. I would have more tackles than kicks and when I did kick it, it would go 25 metres.
