Essendon has the players to stop Fevola & Brown


Essendon will make it's second interstate trip in 2011 as they come into Brisbane and face a strong Lions outfit.

Essendon sit first on the ladder however they have 4 teams chasing them, including a surprising Lions team led by forward combo Fevola and Brown.

Essendon looks to provide a strong defensive 6 to face the Lions, including Fletcher and Hooker to cover the big men.

Essendon has made 2 changes for the clash, Jetta and Prismall both dropped for Davey and Myers, who will play his first game in 2011.

Hird signalled at team selection that the addition of Myers is to support the defence against a strong forward line.

Davey has been included to replace the struggling Jetta, who looks like getting some rest and find some form.

This game looks to be a thriller, both teams with blistering forward lines that look to provide the common prediction of "whoever wins the midfield, will win".

Lions will be hoping for a capacity crowd at the Gabba for support against the best team in 2011 so far.
