Ok, I've now got GFWL working but it doesn't pop up in the game before it starts. What is going on?

I'm starting to think that AFL Live PC needs a fix (official or fan-made) that gets rid of GFWL. The servers are fully down.

Well that's a possibility however you can run an offline GFWL account and access the game but not play online. I doubt anyone is playing online anyway as it has limited users even when it was at its peak. I ha ent played it for a long long time so I would have to test it out to see what I get.
It's AFL Live not AFL Live 2 correct??
I just tested my installation and it wont work with the online profile. The offline profile works fine. You will need to create an offline profile.

Looks like online play is dead. No evidence of AFL Live on the new XBOX Live games list (replaces GFWL)
Offline account is your only option. Press the home key and the option will appear at the top to create an offline account. Let me know how you go.

GFWL doesn't even want to pop up in game when I launch the game. I pressed home multiple times but it wouldn't even pop-up. I'm getting a bit frustrated here.

I've gotten the game working now. I just had to put an XLiveLess fix into the main folder.
Good to hear mate. No online with that fix I assume?

The way I got my copy working was to not bother installing the GFWL client on the disc, but to install the latest version from the Windows website, then create an offline profile.

AFL Live 1 on a really fast gaming PC would be very cool and fluid to experience....
Evolution as well, but once a few patches have come along..

I have afl live on PC. The main difference between afl live and afl evo is the fact that contested marking went from being incredibly hard (so spoiling the ball and tackling became the best option. Still have no idea on how to take speccies, think its random) to being incredibly easy (just wait untill the two circles match up, then press mark)
The lack of news on the Steam release for AFL Evo making me sad.
Maybe they're waiting on the first patch to release it..

Most likely they are waiting for the first patch to fix all the major issues, before working on the PC version.

Anyone had any success with those?
Haven't seen this posted clearly anywhere but apologies if its already widely known. If you're looking to play AFL Live on PC you can download the ISO from this website https://archive.org/details/afl-live. You can then use this GFWL remover I found for Fable 3 into your game directory to get around the product code screen.
Looking into whats doable in terms of modding the gameplay so if anyone else has looked into it themselves id be keen to have a chat. Great game but the AI needs buffing

Are you already familiar with modding/programming games?
Basic modding yes but I dont know lua. I know computers well enough to vaguely know what im doing though. Have wanted a PC version of the game since I was a kid so I could look into it. At the moment Im purely looking into a way to boost the AI difficulty. If i can do that i'd be looking at making full 2025 lists.
