Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

I really wish I could work out their rationale - We've had Sprint Cars up on Steam but have issues with other games.... then there are little indie games that make it... hard to fathom. I would like all of our games to be on Steam.

I presume the "they" here are Valve.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

Why bother now ? Just edit your website and remove the PC version, First the excuses were piracy, And now there's a whole bunch of other reasons / excuses..... May as well scrap it, count your losses and your sales, I don't see why I should put my money on the table when NOBODY can just freaking come out and tell us WTF is going on.

We have waited a year, This is such a bad way to handle this, Someone, Somewhere would know whats going on "Nothing" And I feel we've been cheated because of it, I brought the stupid PS3 version SPECIFICALLY because I was told the PC version was coming out at a "later" date....

Hopefully whoever's fault it is, they get an ass whopping, Because someone should have come forth and explained everything that was going on. It's a simple god damn game that's supposedly finished and wasting valuable sale time..

Nice way to treat your customers, I've waited over a year for this, I just feel you would be better of saying the PC version has been cancelled and then just wait for AFL 2013.

Sorry for being a little snotty Ross, But you have to be able to see our point of view, before release it said "Out on PC, PS3, PS3" and so far there's been NO TALK what so ever about the PC version, NO SCREENS, NOTHING!!!!!!!!!! So what's happened?

Hope your years been a good one mate, I know your Blues aren't doing all that great, But doesn't matter, At least Essendon is doing all right haha.

Bloody right! Exactly how I feel, and I would have bought a legal copy instantly a few months ago (when it was supposed to hit the market), but after ignoring me (and all other PC customers probably), I'm gonna have to reconsider that.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

If we dont get PC version 2-4 weeks after the ps3 and xbox DLC(if real) is released it is never coming.

In an email a while ago to tru blue and HES i asked if it was still coming and that since new season has already started, it would be stupid to release it now without atleast updating rosters.

If they updated rosters for pc release it would be easily transported to ps3/xbox and theres the DLC.

So it prob will be released 1 day.
Hope there not expecting it to sell well though.
Over 1 year since first release.
I doubt there will be much marketing eg tv ads etc.
Its been so long the hype for it has died down.

I understand consoles come first etc etc
But cmon 3months delay on release is maximum, otherwise the hype dies down.
Learn from other companies that release on console first and then PC 2 weeks to 3 months later.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when? How bout July 12?

Hell yeah it's finally coming so excited :D

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

NIce edit.
Thank you. ;)

I guess we can leave this open for PC specific version chat? Certainly seems like there will be enough numbers if those that have complained do purchase.

If PC sales number 15% of the Xbox/PS3 combined total then I would be more than surprised and wear a Tigers beanie for a day :)

Wouldnt be suprised if less than 2000 buy it after this kind of delay.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when? How bout July 12?

I assume it will come with the updates which are being released as DLC for console?

It'll be interesting to see the control scheme; that's one thing sports games tend to struggle with on PC (though of course many PC players have gamepads anyway).

What delivery method will there be for this game? Over steam or an online distrubition etc.? And will it support an xbox controller through the pc?

Retail and I'm pretty sure Games for Windows Live is the distribution ports.

99% sure gamepad support will be in too.

Why not just release it on Steam? It'd be so much easier.

Agree, but if it does use GFWL for achievements, i hope that it appears on the pc marketplace as a downloadable title at some point. I have MS Points to burn and would gladly use them towards the pc version. By contrast i am not going to spend it on the individual DLC (have not played the ps3 or 360 versions for a while).

I was contemplating buying the Games on Demand version for it back in April after i got a lot of MS Points from the Dick Smith sale. Opted not to as i had already earned the majority of achievements. Wasn't worth buying again just to play for another short burst (if i was desperate enough i'd just grab the copy i purchased on release and reinstall it to the hdd).

PC version available now for download for $49.95 from the Games for windows live marketplace.

Awesome, it's not Steam.... but it's still a digital copy :D. Downloading ASAP.

Scratch that idea for now, i can see the game, but no purchase link as yet.

Wrong marketplace window, now purchasing!
