Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

Eh, for those of us who don't have consoles, it might be worth about $10 or so. Certainly no more.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

I wouldn't think so. The AFL Live games were only around $50 or so when they first came out on PC, and they didn't have the huge delay or post-season release. They'd really struggle to sell tham at that price, surely.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

I'm going to buy it - prefer playing on PC anyway, the extra res will make the clinches a lot easier. Don't expect much from online though.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

I remember asking the designer on their trial runs about the difference between pc and consoles and they said none .. which means we will be stuck playing it on 1280x720 60fps which would look crap on a pc with a monitor with native res of 1920 x 1080 @ 120 hz..

Thanks ill stick to playing it on PS3.

Would of been great had they offered the higher res and fps for the pc it would of made a point of difference enough to give it more play time.

Now they can site poor sales and warez as their reason not to include pc for their next installment.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

The resolutions will almost certainly be bigger. By differences between the two versions, the designer probably meant there were no gameplay or functional differences. He's hardly going to say "the PC version looks better so don't buy the console ones" is he?

As for FPS, two things:

1) You wouldn't notice any difference above 60 fps
2) I would be surprised if any console games were running at 60 fps. 30 is the norm.

Heaps of console games run 60fps.

COD is probably the most renowned.

There are compromises in visual quality though, so most choose to go with 30fps. It really ends up depending on how much your game NEEDS 60fps.

A lot of racing games go 60fps because of the twitchy nature in how they control.

But for games that don't need that super twitchy control, they choose to go higher on graphical quality for the lower 30fps framerate.

You'll see mate .. it wont look better and it wont have full HD ... he said so himself. Also I can tell alot of difference between 60hz and 120 hz i have both and the difference is very noticable even playing games like FIFA 12 & PES 2012 on my pc i can see a difference when i switch between monitors for comparisons.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

I dont understand all this hate on it being released after the season?

What does it matter, to me it makes more sense to release at the end of the season cause thats when you hunger for the game (real game) more.

The fact that by the end of the week players will be traded, delistings have already happened and in a few weeks time the draft would ahve occured means that teams will be completely outdated by the time the game is released.

Considering COD runs at sub HD resolutions on consoles, I would say that's fairly true.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

If it was about six weeks from the end of September, you've got a few weeks to go.

What , they're going to bring it out on PC now!

why bother, so much for the BS about it coming out after PS3 and Xbox.

Oh that is right, illegal copies reasons.

I am so over this, if I ever see one, I die of shock!

Tru Blu Entertainment Pty. Ltd.
There have been many inquiries regarding AFL Live for PC, and we are happy to inform you that the estimated release is within the next six weeks.

Off their Facebook page. Releasing it after AFL season means it won't sell well, then we'll see Tru Blu coming out and saying it's because of piracy.

They have been using that lame excuse for 6 months now.
Who would bother doing that now!

Lol

It's now the middle of november. Doesnt matter anyway, I gave up on buying this game for my pc about two/three months ago.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

ROSS THIS IS DIRECTED AT YOU. I KNOW YOU ARE READING.

Ross can you please comment on when the pc version will be released???
Is trublu so incompetent that it cannot make deadlines that it publicly announces?
This is what I am talking about:

Now 6 weeks to the day was last monday the 7th of november. according to trublu it should have been released by then. WTF is going on? I understand if they are waiting for the draft before releasing to adjust the lists etc but why announce it will be released within 6 weeks then not do anything? My local game stores also know nothing of it. I have the game on PS3 but would rather it on pc so I can play with my other pc online gamers and the pc is a far better platform for games.

I know you cant say much atm but please, please at least acknowledge that you have read this post and there will still be a pc version THIS YEAR.

I hope that you guys arent disappointed with the pc release sales as tru blu have done just about everything possible to kill the pc sales and just because there is more money to be made by focusing on consoles is no excuse for the poor image that tru blu has created of itself and to an extent big ant has been dragged down with it.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

I sincerely doubt they are waiting for the draft. Why would they release the PC version with 2012 lists? It would surely be the same as the console version.

Either it has hit a delay or is not coming at all.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

With all the games out in the last 2 weeks I really don't see anyone buying this now for pc. Skyrim will consume me for the next month at least, not to mention battlefield 3, ac, saints row and the rest of my backlog on steam/origin.
