I will be grabbing this game first thing tomorrow morning from Game at taylors lakes and one of the first things i will be doing is creating a team but i was wondering if there was something out on the forums somewhere that gave a listing of the players costings.

Judd is 440 000 or something around there, so you could try and get a rough estimate of that. I might put up a few players price later on.

Just played my first online game and got hammered 1 - 100 !

I tried editing the Fremantle line up, Crowley and Schammer are ranked something like 3rd and 6th best players respectively, but then tried starting a season with Fremantle and no changes took effect?

Can I only use an edited line up in single game?
 
Rockliff is rated 61 in the centre. Pathetic.

Considering spuds like Dan Merrett are rated 84, I can't understand that.

from what i have read anything you edit you can only use in a custom season which is a little annoying.
 
Just a general summary of Player ratings, can forgive 1st year recruits stats not being generally accurate but some others are a bit out;

From an Adelaide perspective I hope Matthew Jaensch (53) and Ricky Henderson (46) don't play the game and look at their stats as it will probably diminish what is left of their confidence :eek: how the hell are they rated even below the Crows first year rookies? should be a at least of been between 69-72 would almost say it does seem a bit buggy considering the other ratings in the game?

Also Maric (80), Moran (77), Sellar (77) are overrated, Porplyzia (88) is slightly as well, while I think Dangerfield (77) & Walker (77) are slightly underrated and Phil Davis (76), Andy Otten (75), Brodie Martin (70) , Doughty (71), MacKay (74) are all rated a tad too low, but I'm sure every supporter can find that about players on their team as well :p.

In general looking at other teams C.Jones from the saints 91... I lol'd, M.Bate 87 ay?, Beams & Macaffer rated lower then Seamus McNamara @ Collingwood :p, Mundy (79), Barlow (78) and Fyfe (69) from Feo are too low, but are balanced up by Shammer being rated 79 :confused:.

Bock:92 & N.Ablett:78 @ the Suns - past glorifying much? while D.Swallow even though 1st year should be higher then 73, Injury riddled Max Bailey rated 82 should be a direct swap with Jordan Lewis rated 77 at Hawthorn, Roo's McIntosh (89) & Petrie (87) bit overrated?
Travis Boak (75) should sue BigAnt for defamation after rating him lower than quite a number of Port duds should of at least been 80+, K.Cornes (91), Pearce (89) and Motlop (86 with a consistency of 30 ;)) are all a bit too high, almost too many to mention for Port has the most wrongly rated players in the game for me - poor players too high, good players too low.

Richmond have Daniel Jackson (85) Kelvin Moore (84) too high for me, Saints have F.Ray (74), Gamble (67), Gwilt (73), Geary (71) and Armitage (70) a bit underrated, maybe should of taken 15 off Jones and distributed them between this lot? Goodes (85), Bradshaw (91) should of been the other way, Minson (81) and Sherman (81) overrated while Higgins (77), Giansiracusa (75) and Ward (74) are all a tad low at the Bulldogs.

Biggest shame not being allowed to edit them and play a Season.
 
his overall @ 79 is ok but his specific traits like Breaking tackles @ 72, and tackling @ 71 should be higher & plus if Sherman can be 81 why can't Dangerfield :p

I'm almost in tears looking at some of these ratings. Matthew Bate rated higher than Adam Goodes. Clinton Jones comparable to Dane Swan and Gary Ablett. Travis Boak a significantly worse player than Max Bailey.

The people who made this game don't watch much football, do they?

With Sydney I think most of the ratings are fairly good, it seems Rohan is slower than he should be but then you can't have him burning off every one. The only blunder would be having Nick Smith at 64, it seems he really is just another forgotten Sydney Player :( Want to put him in my team but 64 in the back pocket is just too much of a disadvantage given Mattner can fill there at 79. Sad Panda.
 
Hopefully these statistics weren't gone over manually and instead they had a little program to go over past statistics and then with emphisizing on the couple past previous seasons working out a more accurate total? Of course there would be some annomalies but those could be worked out by a person that knows footy.
 
What everyone needs to understand is that the overall rating doesn't really mean that much
It is just a calculation of all the players stats and how bigant have worked out that calculation and which individual stats they have placed more importance on
Even if a players overall is low if they are for example good at marking they're marking stat will be high, they're overall has no effect on this
I have noticed that even an average ruckman has a decent overall so I would assume that they have placed a high importance on the hitout stat
