Aren't most clubs struggling this time of year?
Maybe trading 1 club, that is possibly hurting the AFL brand in Mackay, with a club that will enhance the AFL brand in mackay, would be a good thing.

Theres a few clubs that are under threat of imploding, in house issues have nothing to do with a new team entering.

At the end of the day, Andergrove want to be part of a strong competition therefore we need all the other clubs to stop feeling so glum about it all, get off their backsides and work abit harder. Surely if they been around for 40 years they should be so well established that new clubs coming into the competition should struggle to match them!
The particular club we are discussing had their opportunity to run hand in hand with Andergrove and chose to do nothing with it!

Firstly Chicken (Naomi) hasn't been officially voted in as President, yet. Orielly has decided to head back to Victoria and to top it off Barnesy has defected over to City Hawks! Barnesy has done a moutain of things for the club so I won't bag the guy and I guess he has his reasons as to leaving, but, I don't like to wish him to much luck.

BJ getting red carded I found quite amusing. Care to fill us in on your carding old Jonny boy? PH, you ripping any other clubs players from them? Oh no that's right they just turned up!!!

Whilst having a few at the game, a couple of people suggested that W/S will lose a lot of players next year for certain reasons. Maybe the last time we see a W/S flag for a number of years. Anyway a good clean game of footy was played and the best team won.

Received an infraction for describing how a certain annoying poster was born stephy ,things dont sound to good down at the Creek but Barnsey wouldn't be the first player to be poached by the Hawks.:thumbsu:

I see the 2011 draw has been released. Mackay city hawks to play the andergrove roos 1st up, Bakers Creek v Saints, Swans vs bulldogs sea eagles have the bye.

21 rounds with 4 friday night games at harrup park towards the end of the year which is a good idea from the league board. All finals to be played in mackay with airle beach hosting the preseason carnival on the 12th of march. City country match to be played in mackay.

Looking at that draw I only saw 2 FNF games at Harrup, and 2 Saturday Night reserves games......we hope to be up for Airlie again in March, but will get more details next week,

Is It true Eagles have lost as many as 15 Pemiership players and are coachless? My mail is that the Hawks are looking in reasonable shape for 2011. Been away for a while but was told Barnsy was seen at training one night and might be having second thoughts???

Pinnacle Thief, you blokes having a team in for the pre season carnival for the 12th? Would love to say Tigers 2011 (as I've done before) but that call stinks of face palm on crack.

Have heard the Eagles have lost a couple of there better players to SA. But I'm sure they will get a few handy recruits like last year to replace them. The hawks will be much the same as last season lost a couple picked up a couple. Barnsey has been a regular at training during the preseason so don't know about him having second thoughts.

PH how is your home ground looking, is it going to be ready for round 1?

Should be a good carnival up at airlie in a couple of weeks with the townsville sides coming down and maybe 1 from Rocky i hear.

Last time i checked the ground out at Bucasia was coming along nicely althought we are trying to get as many home games at Harrop Park as possible.

Looking forward to the Carnival , it will be interesting to see how we go.

We're definitely coming up, don't know what type of a side we'll field (we've lost 4 of our senior premiership 22 at this stage) but we'll be up. From what I've read in the press though there are only 3 of the Townsville sides coming down....
