Good win by the Swans last weekend beating the undefeated Hawks, Hawks had a few key players out but so do most teams most weeks.

Feel sorry for Bakers this having to play Hawks on the rebound, could be a cricket score!

Swans v Saints, after surprising loosing to Whitsunday at home, Saints need to beat Swans at Swans which will be a big task especially after the confidence Swans will have gained from knocking off the reigning premiers.
Swans wouldn't to be too cocky though because Saints are more than capable of causing an upset.

Magpies v Whitsunday Saturday night underlights at Harrup is a big game for both teams also, both teams need to keep winning to stay in the finals hunt.

It will be very interesting over the next few weeks to see which clubs can bolster their playing lists with some recuits before June 30th when clearances end.
There's plenty of word around town that some quality players will be arriving at a few clubs just before cut off, watch this space!

Winning form is good form & the Swans look like they will finish 2nd & get a double chance.

There's been a litle bit of activity on the clearances section on the Mackay AFL Website recently,
im tipping it will be busy at the end of the week with any new recuits needing to be registered & clearances lodged before this friday.

Only just seen the scores from AFL Mackay games played on the weekend. Were the results as expected ?

They aren't playing aswell as they did last season, l'm sure they would agree, but they only have to hit their straps when it counts & are still the team to beat.

Swans seem to fancy them selves as Hawks main contender, can any other team scratch up a few late recuits & challenge the Hawks?

Whitsunday are travelling along nicely, will be an interesting contest after the bye, Whitsunday v Hawks in Arlie.

l see a few clubs snuck in some late clearances last Thursday & Friday just before cut off on the 30th.
Hawks picked up someone from Nth Tazy league & Vic

Saints picked up a 6'5 CHB from Ballarat in Vic & a couple of others

Swans Picked up 1 from Brizy way, Vic & tazy

Bakers picked a couple too which is good for them

Whitsunday, the smokies, picked a couple from Tazy & 1 from Mt.Isa

Magpies signed up a couple from Brizy, a couple from Vic & a couple of last years players cleared back from Mayne in Brizy whom moved there this year.

Looks to be a very interesting 2nd half of the season with most clubs toping up there lists last week & key players returning from injury.

Top 3 seems to be set at this stage with Magpies & Saints fighting it out for 4th spot.
Magpies v Saints this Saturday arvo at Harrup is a huge game for both clubs with finals aspirations, the loser can still make it but it would be tough!
 
PH, don't worry about who's going to participate in the finals......your priority should be to pay your overdue bill at my shop (pay your bill face)!!!

Can't believe how generous the Magpies were in handing 2 points to the Hawks . The Hawks virtualy had their reserve side in against the Magpies, and then because of some rain on Saturday the Magpies didn't want to transfer the game to the Sunday. I would hardly ever say this, but the Magpies would have been the better side on that day and beaten the Hawks -thankyou Magpies , it all must be part of your statagy to not play finals. They say a great leader is a great stratagist , you have a beauty on your hands there.
