Competition AFL Magic (Retro) Round concept

AFL are discussing the idea of their own version of the NRL's Magic round

The idea is, matches will be played across 3 days at the "heart of football" The MCG

jerseys will consist of retro elements and train elements as well

feel free to post your own designs here, I have a simple template which isn't perfect but it will do until I get better software can't wait to see your designs

There will be no sponsors, one at most on the front or back but a retro sponsor

First is Adelaide a simple inverse of an old clash on the modern gurnsey

Next is the Fitzroy (Brisbane) Lions this is a recolour of their current guernsey in pre-1974 lions colours

For Carton, I added the yolk from one of their first AFL jerseys and their first monogram as well

Now is Collingwood and their wearing the swooping maggie but with updated bars because of course they have too

Now is Footscray which is a red inverse of their first clash

Now is Freo I have used the base of their 2005 clash but with the modern chevrons

next is Essendon which uses a straightened sash in base colours with sliver highlight and the Bomber on the sash

For Geelong, it is just their original curved hoops on the modern jersey

for the suns, I did a yellow version of their 2015 clash just updated besides the logo

Now is GWS i have used their old team GWS jersey with an updated logo and colours

with hawthorn, i used the V from their legends design and their 2017 clash monogram and accents

For Melbourne, I have returned the Flaming M! from the 2007 jumper I have made the cuffs blue and added the red back from the 2019 clash

With north, I reversed the bounding roo clash and made the mostly blue but kept the strips at the back from the new gurnsey

Next is Port I used an older version of the prison bars and added a teal yolk so Collingwood doesn't have a sook

for the tigers I have given a nod to the pre VFL hoops with a monogram I grabbed online (not sure who it is but I was probably from here)

now, Saint Kilda has a bit of everything including pinstripes from an old jersey, yellow from the WW1 kit, the emblem patch, the white borders from an older jersey, the black box with the design counting on the back

Next are the South Melbourne (Sydney) Swans

the club will return to a blood red base with a curved V and the old south Melbourne monogram

For West Coast, I have used the old colours and tri-panel with a re-cloured modern logo (sorry no ochre software is not good for it)

this idea is also similar to the NHL's reverse retro series
