Bit like the night GF isn't it? They'll occasionally throw out a hint they're planning to go that way so they can gauge the public reaction before either pretending they had no plans in the first place or implementing them if they can get away with it without a significant backlash.

serious question though, I don’t see why can’t girls/women be drafted to the League Currently Known as AFL. Just chuck em in the draft camps and see what happens
