Next year's Pre-Season competition has been released, with no definite sponsor although Wizard Home Loans may keep the name on the big wok-thing they call a cup. And it is back to the knockout format!

All the Melbourne based clubs will play each other while Port Adelaide, the current pre-season champion, will start at home against hometown rival Adelaide. West Coast will play Fremantle in Perth while Sydney will play Brisbane at Telstra Stadium in Homebush.

Here's the draw for round one... use your imagination for the other four rounds of the competition, with the Grand Final on March 15.

Friday February 21
West Coast v. Fremantle; Subiaco Oval—Night match
Richmond v. Melbourne; Telstra Dome, Melbourne—Night match

Saturday February 22
Hawthorn v. St. Kilda; York Park, Launceston
North Kangaroos v. Essendon; Manuka Oval, Canberra
Sydney v. Brisbane; Telstra Stadium, Sydney—Night match
Adelaide v. Port Adelaide; AAMI Stadium, Adelaide—Night match

Sunday February 23
Geelong v. Western Bulldogs; Skilled Stadium, Geelong
Carlton v. Collingwood; Telstra Stadium, Melbourne

Thats the name of the game.

At last Sydney gets a pre-season game. Could be a little empty at Stadium Australia though.
If they can arrange a minimum 3-hour gap between the end of the Essendon v Kangaroos game in Can'tberra and the start of the game at Stade de Oz I might try to race up the highway and do the double-header.
