I can't remember, has Lake always acted like a twat or has it only been since he moved to Hawthorn?
Go watch the 2009 prelim.

Ump tells him not to shove Riewoldt, so he shove Riewoldt (who rightly plays it up and takes a dive) and gives away a free kick 5m out to start the second half.

Has always been a twat BUT is a ****ing good player and backs up the chatter more often than not.

On one hand, the umpiring has been shit and 2 goals for Hawthorn have come directly from questionable umpiring decisions for the Hawks, as well as the missed Lake holding the ball (which Freo missed afterwards). Still no idea what the second goal for Hawks was for, first goal was a complete shambles of a decision, couple of bad ones around the ground

On the other, I can point to 4 or 5 Freo missed opportunities through no ones fault but their own. Mayne missed a sitter, Taberner dropped a chest mark as Freo went forward, Ballantyne didn't pass to Pearce and instead took a terrible non-percentage shot, Walters missed running into an open goal (but should have been a set shot for the Lake holding the ball) and the Griffin miss.

So really, Hawthorn did get rub of the green but they have been much more clinical and made less mistakes
