Off topic a bit but does anyone know what music has been used for the AFL's The Grill?

Also, watching Sportsworld Footy Panel, I remember Mike Brady - Up There Cazaly was used during the showcasing of the marks.

That was part of Live and Kicking's "Kickin Karaoke" segment, which featured Weird Al-style song parodies about the hot topics in the league at the time... not exactly promo music, but I can't see anywhere else on this site where it would fit.

Others included "Counting The Frees", an umpire-themed parody of Counting The Beat by the Swingers, and "Tony Shaw" a pisstake of Paul Kelly's To Her Door about Eddie's bid for the Collingwood presidency.

Would love to see more videos of them.

was 1993.... absolutely love it, great theme for one of the best seasons of footy ever

EDIT... actually "the name of the game is australian" was used a bit as a secondary theme in 1994 as well... but "That's the thing about football" was the main theme that year

It was used as the Sunday Footy Show's opening theme around 2004.

Pretty sure it wasn't used for any match coverage though.
