I just do not rate the prospectus, surely they have what the magic number will be or the prices of some players and they dont even tell you what position players are nor what DP players are. Do they??
The prices were not even finalized when the prospectus was issued this year.

It would be nice if they did list the actual DP positions but if that's all you are going to get the prospectus for then of course you're not going to think it's worth $40.

Whilst i love the prospectus i do find the weights and heights a little wayward. Are the clubs providing false infomation or what? Looking from 2010 to 2011 and i can see some changes like Luke Lowden goes from 87kg to 89kg. I know for a fact that he is mid 90's in kg so whats with that? The stats are great but take the height and weight with a grain of salt.

Can we have some kind of Prospectus watch for bookstores or newsagents? If you have seen/heard off/aware of anywhere that already has them stocked then please post details about what type of store and where roughly it is.

I was in Angus & Robertson Melbourne CBD this week. They said Feb/March didn't think it had even been published, so yeah, probably fair to say they aren't aware.

I assume you mean his DT average?? If so it was 73.58 over 17 matches. There was a 116, 101 and 128 there. Low scores of 33 and 36.

If you are inclined to take a wait and see policy with ruck premiums, being as they are, fraught with danger then Smith's average is enough for the second ruck spot. Problem would then be filling the third and fourth spots effectively though.

I've thought about this a bit, after deciding not to go with Petrie. Bailey, Campbell and Redden are possible bench options.

Need to be cautious with this. GCS didn't have Fraser last year and I am guessing Smith shouldered most of the ruck load. Fraser will definitely impact his scoring.

Also a lot of people are looking to take Frasier, Z.Smith into there team than they are going to strike a few zero's especially in round 1 and i cant see many people wanting to start with a zero. Also J.Tippett from GC aswell which people are looking to use with DP. Having said that if you have Petrie forward than he can cover with the switch of J.Tippett for round 1 and round 9.

Yeh, meaning you are locked into holding Petrie until at least round 9, even if he is stinking it. At least it is a better situation than last year where some started Hille in the rucks, Lobbe on the bench and Tippett in the forward line. Tippett just bled cash and points. Petrie is going to be much cheaper than Tippett's starting price last year ($280k iirc) so is highly unlikely to fall in price. Another risk with having to hold on to Petrie until at least round 9 is will his feet/body hold up for that period of time. Could be a risky strategy having Fraser/Smith and then Petrie as DP to cover.

Or people could say they will upgrade Frasier before round 9 to say Jolly after the pies first bye.

^^Fair call, but he would need to pull some reasonably big numbers between rounds 2-8 as he doesn't start rising in price until round 4.

Another good point, although i would think 5 price rises is enough for him to warrant trade before round 9. Having said that though, if he is scoring 80s than you probably wouldnt trade him anyway.
