AFL Reserves

To be honest, I think the SANFL just needs to pull their heads in a realise that they are no longer the top competition in SA. If they think that their comp will be compromised with Reserve Sides (eg, Port Magpies becoming Port Power reserves, Adelaide getting their own 10th side), they forget to realise that they are more or less compromised now. Having to rely on which AFL players are playing this week, coming up with last-second changes because a player has been called up or dropped, etc, has been a dilemma for sides since the introduction of the Crows and Port in the 1990s.

I mean look at Steven Salopek, Glenelg were dropping him to their reserves side every week because he wasn't part of their senior side plans, yet Matthew Primus wanted him to play in the senior grade so he could DEVELOP and earn his way back to AFL selection. Josh Francou (North Adelaide coach) has been making plans for a side with and without Daniel Stewart all year.
