Got a better suggestion for what they should wear? Admittedly I wanted to do something different but it's all I could really think of. Especially given their whole identity is to represent all of WA, they can't really just identify with a single WAFL club.

Obviously we pull an Adelaide, make a fake shield and claim all the WAFL club colours

SEVENTIES ROUND - PART TWO


Hawthorn will be wearing their pinstriped 70's guernsey, and Fremantle will wear the guernsey of WAFL side East Fremantle


Melbourne will wear their royal blue guernsey from the advent of colour television, whilst Collingwood wear their pinstriped 70's guernsey (a pattern forms...)


North Melbourne are also wearing a pinstriped guernsey, whilst Essendon are f**king boring and wear the same guernsey they've worn for the last 728 years


...well this is awkward. Both clubs wear their exact guernseys they wear today, apart from variations in the collar and cuffs.

GWS dont have a patron team. GC could take on Southport but what about all the other teams in the area? Why dont they get a turn?
As Fruity Toot said, the teams weren't around in the 70's, so the best alternative was provided. GWS would have very few, if any teams in the 70's. Same goes for GoldoCOast

End of the day Lynton, if you wanna do a what if for what Gold Coast or GWS would have worn in the past then by all means go ahead. But that wasn't the purpose of this portfolio for me and I would have been massively clutching at straws when it comes to Gold Coast and GWS.

If you think it's disrespectful for me to omit GC and GWS from my portfolio, you're having an absolute giggle. Disrespect is your blatant shitvoting across competitions, disrespecting the efforts of the designers on this board. I'm not going to be told whats disrespectful by a twelve year old on an internet forum.

I feel privileged to have been able to read this thread.

Lynton, I'd personally like to apologise for Gold Coast and GWS not being in existence in the 70's and agree that it's a market that shouldn't have taken 40 years to tap into!

If anything the AFL/VFL has disrespected those footy supporters long before Freight Train, so don't feel so hard done by.

West Coast wear their inaugural "Peril" guernsey, where as Fitzroy wear their brighter 80's guernsey



In the battle of the port cities, Fremantle wear the South Fremantle Bulldogs jumper and Port Adelaide rock the bars


Collingwood wear their white based jumper and Essendon just do Essendon



Straight forward one here.


Richmond in the usual, and 'Scray get up in their 80's hoops, pre-Robodog



Business as usual...


Sydney wear the side-panel style 80's jumper, and Carlton wear the old classic


Adelaide wear their State of Origin jumper, and North Melbourne roll out in their classic design​
