Why do you make it sound like no one wins the bets. I'm running at 65% this year for o/u.

did I say no one wins them or you can't make money from it if you know what your doing? All I said is the example that he gave is the reason why I don't bet on them. I never said no one else should. He got frustrated because the eagles were not trying to achieve his objective. If you can make money from over and under thats great. I think the money is too be made in play from over and unders once you see how the game is going or before the game if you actually live where the game is going to be played so you can judge for yourself if conditions give you an edge.

perhaps you just aren't good at betting and need to rely on backing pathetic PYOLs

if people make money betting O/U, why shouldn't they continue, its a money maker in a variety of different markets

This is a forum where people can say how they bet. I don't want people to follow my philosophy everyone is welcome to bet how they want. Why aren't I allowed to have a different betting philosophy to you? If yours works well for you and mine works well for me then everyone is happy. The reason for being on a forum is because your interested in how other people think, there ideas.

Massive weekend for me +47.822 units, the biggest since I've been keeping accurate records (just this year). That brings it to +70 units for the year. Been very lucky to hit some multis in the last 3 weeks though I don't really expect that to continue.

I have a version of your philosophy where I'm reluctant to take teams giving up a big start in line betting, because they're trying to win the match not cover the spread, and yet the opposition is trying to make it close/win. But this is not the same thing. Over/unders almost always have one team attacking and one defending, and their objectives are opposite at all times.

nah they front desk wouldn't know Lynch. You have to call when the traders are in. I once had a woman say out the 16 names for most disposals. Had to wait 5 minutes whilst she got the return email. She couldn't pronounce half of them

Got to say I agree with the big starts theory although I have backed against the suns a couple of time (not this weekend). Performance is key. If people can accurately track their results and show positive results year after year that's all that really matters.

I think this game is closer than the bookies have priced it, Dogs are way too low with key players out or underdone. I think there is a bit of internal strife there too that hasnt wholly made it out into the public. Adelaide are a dangerous team and are capable of a big performance in them under the roof at Etihad. This bet is a bit of a long shot but at the $8 price im taking it with one unit.

Never looked likely in play, made up the money on the rest of the weekend but didnt get the chance to post them here.
