Hurn will get a week. He basically acknowledged he did wrong when he put his hands in the air. It was that extra movement. 2 down to 1.

Love bartel’s comment

The problem is we aren’t having the debate “should there be rule changes” and we have jumped straight to “what rule changes should we have”

Nailed it

BT so reactionary

The skill/quality of games is is better than the games on the cow paddocks he played on

BT I reckon has been instructed by his employer who run the AFL to talk the nonsense he is talking.

How good are Bartel's points

1) 30 players in the back 50 is not that different to 36.

2) Just another rule to be applied to situations the AFL didn't think ahead of - think of the protected zone rule, the third man up rule and the ruck nomination rule (both of which have slowed the game down and congested it further), the sliding/below the knees contact rule (started off because of a broken leg due to feet first sliding - now stationary players have players put their head between their legs and get a free see Dahlhaus v Hawks, correct call by the rule yes, the way the rule should be applied, absolutely not), bringing in subs/capping interchanges/capping interchanges further (all to decrease congestion, congestion has only increased in that time).

3) Regardless of rule changes, coaches will defend first.

Stop changing rules. The AFL's big changes have not helped in the past 5-10 years, why do they expect it to change now? Oh because Steve Hocking is in charge!!! Cool. We have a more congested game than ever, like it or not, and changing the rules AGAIN will make * all difference until a team finds a winning formula that is different - and then we will all go to that.

Looked like he got wrong footed by the bounce and impact was subsequently impossible to avoid

He definetly didn't do it on purpose but due to the soft game we now play he will get a couple weeks, then again with the match review panel who knows these days

Looks like Honeychurch may have fractured his eye socket on Hurns hip. Straight to hospital.

More like a man that is just s**t scared of what ridiculous tribunal system might give him for basically doing nothing wrong.

The idiot who thought that biased moron Christian should be solely in charge should be given a big fat dose of Novichok.

I usually don't mind BT, don't mind his antics and what not....but Jesus Christ, he's actually just a pure dumb campaigner today, boy oh boy

Yeah the media are doing their usual propaganda job for the AFL by pushing for more rule changes.

Bartel will probably be sent to a re-education camp now for not following the AFL approved script.
