Why can’t these morons just schedule every team to play in this ******* round? Have a NSW/SA one year then QLD/WA next year rotation.

I think everyone (including the media) is missing one very important point here.

Apart from having a round in Brisbane and Sydney as a promotion, it solves another problem - Anzac Day is a Thursday next year, Anzac Eve is a wednesday.

Expect the byes will be around that time. Essendon to play on the Thursday night the round before Anzac Day.

Just call it Round 1 and split the round so everyone wins. Calling it Round zero and then making up for it a few weeks later is just insanely unnecessary - and really quite stupid, tbh.
