Pratt ready to fight for his job
In a radio interview on SEN earlier this month, Demetriou said: "People will form their own views of Richard Pratt, but he's been one of the great philanthropists in this country. He's made a significant contribution in many areas and he's also continued to make a significant contribution to this football club.

"Has he brought the AFL or the game into disrepute? … from where we sit … he hasn't, because he's been co-operating. He certainly hasn't been objective to what's been going on, he hasn't challenged it. He's accepted what's been forthcoming and the people who have admitted to being responsible have moved on."

So far it has only been proven that Visy and Amcor colluded, it is yet to be proven that the prices were above market, that is what the civil action will determine. Until then there is no basis for claims that anyone was ripped off.

The West Coast Eagles are also conducting their own enquiry & this will cost them as well.

You see the difference now? Ben Cousins is not only damaging himself. He is damaging the reputation of his ex-club, the AFL brand & his own family. You don't honestly believe Bryan Cousins is enjoying the media scrutiny & I would suspect he would have better things to do than hopping on planes to L.A. to escort his son home.

More than happy to explain how he has brought the game into disrepute, although one suspects it will be casting pearls to the swine!
He is in charge of an AFL club, got it?
He has been plastered all over the press, TV, internet admitting he stole millions from ordinary Australians? Got it?
He was fined $36 million dollars for his deception and greed and described as a "thief in a suit".Got it?

The marjority of articles I read also mentioned he was president of Carlton? Got it? See the connection?

So, we have a man nationally shamed by his own actions who is leading an AFL club which will have members who he personally ripped off to add to his own wealth?
If you think that is a good image for the game and an association the game should allow and tolerate, then your standards are obviously different to mine.

Let's have mokbel in charge because he has money!
 
Have to say I agree with Sausage, Pratt has cheated me ouit of around $600 and I am just small fry. Cheating and Carlton go hand in hand anyway, unfortunate but true. Elliott and now Pratt, great Australian businessmen, dont be sucked in that because he is a billionaire that he is outside the law.
Good luck to the Blues this year, cant wait to see Juddy tearing it up!!!
