Imagine this

Adelaide Crows
Brisbane Lions
Canberra Kangaroos
Darwin Hawks
Essendon Bombers
Fremantle Dockers
Geelong Cats
Melbourne Demons
Port Adelaide Power
Sydney Swans
West Coast Eagles
Collingwood Magpies
Carlton Blues
Gold Coast Bulldogs
Tasmanian Tigers

I know it would upset a few supporters but 99.99999......% of the footy public weather melbourners or not want a national comp not clubs representing a sole suburb of metro melbourne

And all the way with promoting Aussie Rules overseas coz it is good for the game and there is nothing wrong with it

South Africa loves it

Indeed - I think the government of South Africa is very keen to promote Australian Rules as the new national sport because it is played and enjoyed by both black and white.

Unlike Soccer which is played by blacks and Rugby Union which is still regarded as a bastion of the Afrikaner White Establishment.

Look at Damian Cupido for the Lions - a great young player who hails from South Africa.

Thanks to the internet, The International Rules Series and the efforts of the AFL, Our game is now really starting to take off overseas.

You might have mixed feelings about this but it is taking on a momentum of its own and there is little traditionalists can do to stop it.

Chev let me guess you don't barack for:
Canberra Kangaroos
Darwin Hawks
Goldcoast Bulldogs
Tasmanian Tigers

If Richmond goes Melbourne St Kilda and Geelong wont be in Victoria.

I love how all these people from Essendon Collingwood Carlton and even West Coast come on this board a bag other clubs saying "go here, go there". It is so boring and predictable.

Hey Chev i love it take half of the Victorian clubs and really turn the game into the AFL sounds great pity that wont happen in a thousand years

2000 the year of the Eagle

Rooboy, we don't want Norrff to go. Just you the supporters. MMMM one bus should do it? cya

Roo fans, why do other club supporters believe the Roos will leave Melb eventually and relocate somehere else???

Because your club seems to want to thats why.

They have played home games in Canberra and Sydney over recent years and have made no secret of the fact they seriously think about Sydney as a home base.

Lets be equal about this

if there's a problem in victoria and you need a national comp then let ALL the victorian teams 'pair off'. That would leave 5 vic teams plus 6 interstate leaving room for 3 new teams (Tassie, ACT, NSW perhaps)making a total of 14 - they could play each other twice in a 26 round competition.

The victorian pairings ? Let them chose but it could be enforced on proximity basis

Hawthorn-Collingwood - Black and Gold stripes
Carlton-North Melbourne - Dark Blue - Navy Blue and White
Essendon-Bulldogs - Black with Red and Blue stripe, white bulldog.
Richmond-St Kilda - Black, Red Yellow
Melbourne-Geelong - Dark Blue, Red White

Sound stupid ? So do all your suggestions to change what most say is a GREAT COMPETITION

Razza,

No!

I have to say, I think it is very good that your training jumpers have incorporated white in the design. Along with the white in the shorts worn in the Ansett Cup Grand Final, one would think that Essendon would almost be jealous of our colours.

And with our proud history, why wouldn't anyone want to barrack for the mighty saints?

Pess. you don't give yourself enough credit.

Your concept actually sounds excellent, its about time someone came up with a sensible solution like that.
